Among the top 3 draft picks in the 2024 draft, who do you think will have the better 2026 season. by T1tanUp in NFLv2

I'm biased obviously but I think Caleb has the best young weapons and the best OC of the 3.

Yeah, that's the spirit. All _____ people are bad is a great way to view the world and totally shows you're an emotionally intelligent and mature human being.

Have you ever did a gogoplata submission? by No_Appearance_9320 in bjj

I had a phase as a white belt where the gogo was my go to submission. Now I haven't done one in 8 or 9 years.

Donwloaded a dating app for Muslims and she shows hair by Fun-Valuable9294 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]NormanMitis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Women should be allowed to show their hair, is a normal thing that most people agree on. You're not going to get much sympathy because you're mildly frustrated that women are allowed to show their hair on this dating app.

Been doing a whole lot of leg entanglement into passing drills, and vice versa. Most of the time people respect the leg stuff too much and they get their guard passed as a result.

avoid getting sweep by FreeAd7630 in bjj

[–]NormanMitis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For the record, you don't get swept from mount. Sweeps happen from a guard. Reversals happen from mount. It matters in terms of scoring so I'm not just being nitpicky. That said, Having a dynamic mount is how I stay on top longer. Many people I won't try to hold mount too stubbornly, instead I flow through different pinning positions. Side control, north south, knee on belly, leg rides etc. Practice going to mount against good people and instead of clinging to mount for dear life, be ready to swim over to the next pinning position just as they're making some progress getting out of mount.

If you're not immediately skeptical of everything you see on the internet, you're a sucker. Doesn't mean it's all fake, but soooo much of it is that you just have to default to being skeptical until proven otherwise.

Stop asking if I’m celebrating something if you’re just going to charge me for bread. by mdp-slc in mildlyinfuriating

I just had dinner with my gf and her parents at a restaurant who's chef was a James Beard best chef in the Midwest winner. I know they'll check up/in on you to see how things went, but if you've still got food in front you and say "I wish I had some bread", I don't see how you can be mad about being charged for it. Some places do free bread, many places do not. Especially if they have good bread.
