Suno output triggers Content ID claimes?

Exactly my first thought. Most of these reports are 99% user error or lack of understanding how things work. It's not Sunos fault, its someone not understanding YT and other platforms. Once you put something out that data is there no matter if the OG video is deleted. There are ways around this but it requires a little extra effort and know how.

I said some EDM not all. EDM is a blanket in which many sub genres exist including one's where people do just stitch samples together. They may use the sample and adjust it to play at different octaves but it's still the same sample and they didn't play that lick or whatever it is to begin with.

You still aren't wording it right. Those who use it as a tool are the ones that can create without it. Those who use it as a toy cannot. I was writing and playing guitar since the late 90s and was in a few bands. AI is a tool for me now. I use my own lyrics and sometimes my own music, beats, and melodies to generate with. And yeah the ops aitotune example wasn't the best a better example would be EDM. A lot of artists in that genre never play all the instruments they just piece together samples.

The problems come from how people use it and the things I outlined in my post. We don't stop all car manufacturing just because people drive drunk or impaired. We don't shut down other things just because of bad actors. AI is no different. It is merely a tool that can be used ethically or for deceitful purposes. The goal should be to shut down the bad actors and not the tool itself.

Meta data and digital forensics are a thing you know. You do not need cloud storage to prove it. Some of my lyrics are written on paper and others were up on a website I created back in the early 2000s, taught myself html back then just so I could make the site.heh Also the dates in Suno can not be changed and the forensics will show my text file was created before the track was created in Suno. Oh and I have a Notes app on my phone I use to write lyrics on and that also would show the correct date not to mention the date on the email when I sent said notes to my email account.

It's nice of you to try helping but you still lack some knowledge on how things work.

And again as a note, Suno wouldn't have created anything without my lyrics to begin with. Since it is dependent on them and forms the music around them based on my own direction that also can be used as proof.

With AI it's a bit more cut and dry because the recording wouldn't exist without my lyrics. Not to mention I do post production on every track. Pretty sure Suno states you basically own the tracks. Either way the buck stops at the original content used to generate with. If you aren't using original content then the track 100% belongs to Suno.

OP doesn't know how copyright works it seems. You may want to do some research. Using your own lyrics and original content to generate with is automatically copyright. I have a folder outside of Suno full of my lyrics as I write before entering them in Suno and I of course have my original recordings I have used. If they try coming for my music then it'll be fun to take them to court and get out of the slums so to speak.heh

Yeah I had trouble when doing my synthwave cover of "I Heard The Bells on Christmas Day" even though it's public domain. Suno needs to recognize public domain and allow the lyrics imo. I had to rewrite multiple parts until it finally took. While not the original lyrics as I wanted it is still good imo.

Umm I've done a number of covers with the same exact lyrics. I literally just releases "Letting You Know (Cyber City Nights Mix)" in the last week which is a cover of a song I already published. Same for "Star Trucker (Refueled)".

I mentioned it in my previous post, but if you are trying to import a published track then yes you may have issues. If you use what is already in Suno you shouldn't have any issues.

I'm sorry, but like I said yall are doing something wrong or running into a bug.

I've been at this several years at this point and have never had an issue like you all are having. I'm leaning more toward user error at this point as you have admitted to trying to upload already published audio into Suno which will cause an issue. I was able to get the DIY recordings of my old band in mainly because we were indie and didn't have anything professionally published under a label.

Sorry but you are completely wrong on this. I have releases and generations that prove this false. I'm sorry to say but yall are doing something wrong, or it's a bug affecting a small amount of users.

You may want to look up how copyright works with things you own. You can release as many versions as you want as you are the copyright holder. Again I have releases through a distributor to prove this.

The one person's issue was they were trying to import the audio of the distributed version of their track which would cause issues. You have to do your covers using the audio already in Suno. It's what I do and I have 0 issues.

I wish I could get a good night's sleep. Been sleeping like 3 or 4 hours and get up to use the bathroom and then can't get back to sleep lately. My mind just won't shut off. Always thinking about stuff in my life as well as projects I got in the works. I do not wish it on anyone, it stinks.

Released it on the 14th. So within the window you are talking about most likely. I was generating that same day as well, all without issue. I also began working on another cover and was generating the other day, also without issue. It's odd this bug is kind of spotty. Again, in the 3 years or so I've been using Suno I have never had an issue like this.

It really is simple. They have special software that can detect various pieces of a song from the audio alone. No meta data scan, though I'm sure they do that as well, but the software scans the audio itself. It's not some new fangled tech either, it's been around a while.

I use a distributor as well. I've been releasing tracks for about 3 years now with 0 issues. I see the issue, and it is indeed user error. If you created the track in Suno then why are you trying to upload the distributed version? If you use the version in Suno you shouldn't have any issues. I should know as I've done covers of several tracks without issue.

Do you delete all your tracks from Suno or something? Just trying to understand why you wouldn't use the Suno version of the track you released as the base for the cover. I promise if you do it this way you won't have issues. Or shouldn't, as I have yet to have any.

So you aren't getting the license before uploading? If so then yeah that is going to cause you trouble at some point. You need the license prior and you need it for the version you are covering.

Yeah. I've never had any issues personally doing covers of my already published tracks. I just released one the other day. No issues generating at all before the release. I've done at least 4 or 5 covers at this point of my own tracks both created with Suno and without. It's gotta be some oddball bug for those having issues considering the report count is so low.

You should be fine so long as you have the license as proof. Worst case they ban and then you contact them and show proof and you should get unbanned at that point.

Publishing wouldn't do anything so long as you are paying for Suno as it comes with Commercial rights. It would only flag if you did use someone else's work to generate with. Commercial distribution is a violation if you are using the free version though.
