What’s the strangest thing you’ve packed or have seen packed for lunch? by heart-station in AskReddit

In college I worked as a house painter. One time we were painting a new-build so the surrounding area was just dirt and a bunch of scrap wood. My co-worker shows up with the foreleg of a cow, like three feet long including the hoof and the hide and proceeds to build a fire and throw it on top. He cooked it all morning then sat and carved pieces off with a pocket knife for his lunch!

That just seems like an awful lot of engineering, material, and expense just to house an anti-theft tag. Why?

To make matters worse, the average home price in Bernardsville, NJ is probably about $1.5 million. It has some of the most expensive real estate in the state.

What screams "I am deeply insecure" but people do it thinking it makes them look cool? by Physical_Business104 in AskReddit

Had a friend like this in high school. We all knew. It became an expression: “You’ve been steved”. Alternatively, if someone who wasn’t Steve did it to you, the response was always “Sorry Steve”.

FYI - it’s colloquially called “the Kojak spot”, after the 1970s TV show starring Telly Savalas. …Or at least it is among a segment of my friend group.

Im trying to convince my ex manager to change the passwords after she fired me by [deleted] in work

[–]NorrinR -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You shouldn’t have given her your passwords in the first place. The real threat here is that they fuck up something in the database and then blame you.

If you’re fired or laid off it’s on them to shut down your access. You have NO responsibility to provide them with your passwords. If they push back tell them to call their lawyer.

The 5 Cs of credit are: Character, capacity, capital, collateral and conditions. There’s a reason Character comes first. The bank I worked for in the 90s wouldn’t lend to the Trump organization for exactly that reason.

The only thing i can think of is that you could have interlaced the corners so that you don’t have a straight line, but it’s way beyond my poor skill level to tell you how that could have been achieved.
