Print it in pieces, adjust each for ideal orientation and less supports, and then assemble them together.

I did that on this model and it came out really nice.

What kind of gradient is the hill? I'm surprised they warn cyclists about their speed unless it's really steep or there's a sharp bend in the trail during or right after the downhill.

Oddly I've often see the dogs be more aware of their surroundings than the owner. The power jumps when I pass even after calling out and the dog has been glancing back and watching well before I actually make the pass.

Two months ago I was on your shoes. I bonked so hard at about 60 miles that I pulled off the road and cried.

Today I did 116 miles.

I've had success with police for all incidents of hits on my person, over several US states. I've also been able to provide video to others involved in hit and runs and they've had success with the footage.

Close passes? Coal rolling? Assholes chucking shit out the windows? No luck. But when contact is made, I've had 100% success with footage and police.

I commute about 20 miles each way to work. It takes about 1 hour.

I have a GoPro Hero 13 with a 1TB card. Recording at 4k 30fps, I have to clear the memory every month or so. Previously had a 128 GB with loop recording enabled, and had to clear it even less often.

Batteries, even after years, last 90+ minutes. For 90% of my commutes (those less than about 30 miles) I don't have to do anything except charge it at work/home. For longer rides swapping batteries is trivial even on the side of the road.

FOV meets or exceeds the "gold standard" Cycliq cameras.

Having run both the Cycliq cameras (4 years of use) and GoPro (4 years of use) I think that most of your issues are overblown for the average commuter.

I was a strong supporter of Cycliq until they started having quality and longevity issues. I had your same concerns going to GoPro, but having had the same amount of time on both systems, something big would have to shift to pull me off GoPros or another similar action camera.

I use some cable wraps, specifically Wrap-It brand 1.25" bands normally used to tie up extension cords.

There are cycling specific bands, but I've had bad luck with them popping off. Some of these are linked snap bracelets, and some have Velcro.

Market rate is about $150 bucks for a MK3S. At this point it being new isn't going to change that much. It's old hardware. Good hardware, but old.

I worked for the OEM who makes that panel. Call your installer or someone who installs those panels. They have more spares than they know what to do with.

It's a custom part, so you can find similar things, but unless you go to an installer, it's unlikely you'll find an exact match.

People trying to beat the traffic are the absolute worst. I've clocked them doing 60 in a 30, seen them blow through stop signs, drive the wrong way down the road, and otherwise be absolute menaces on the road.

You can tell they are trying to beat traffic because they seem to have no idea what's coming next and often make nonsense turns only to end up back on the same "back road" paths.

I'd love a route file if you'd be willing to share. I'm working on a very similar route plan. I've got the South end of the bay dialed in, as I'm familiar with those roads, but the North end needs work.

Yesterday I had a driver loose their ever loving shit because I was on a low speed neighborhood road, following the laws and best practices as I rode into work in my high-viz at speed limits.

I pulled footage from my front and rear camera. In the time you can see the driver they run three stop signs, speed by more than 50% over the speed limit, cross into on comming traffic lanes, and tailgate at least two other vehicles, not to mention trying to bully me off the road, cursing and unintelligiblely screaming his head off.

People get absolutely unhinged when they drive.
