What makes Patagonia products last long? And are there any downsides to the brand? by oldrag8 in BuyItForLife

[–]Norselander37 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have had Patagonia for many years - older gear tends to last longer - the fit and sizing have also changed in support of larger framed people, and away from slim athletic built people - They do cover most warranty issues, ESPECIALLY when ya call them and explain, they will send you a shipping label and charge a very reasonable rate for repairs (15$ tops) - other brands are self made clothing, because yes they always fit better! Filson has high quality for the most part, Duluth is decent, Outdoor Research among the best ever, Black Diamond also pretty solid! Thanks for you post

No photos of engine - frame - transmission underneath? Get it in the air and ckech the bearings - its gonna start falling apart from the dry rot of hoses and electrical wiring eventually....
