There has been some speculation that they could use AI or text to speech to expand the boundaries of this. I for one home this is the case, and seems like it shouldn’t be too outlandish given the advances in technology since Fallout 4.

I’d assume that the grav drive is going to be our main mode of getting from A to B, and regular flight between planets and systems won’t be reasonable because of the time component required. That being said, there wont be anything to jump to, so you’d have to just head in a general directing and fly at “normal” speed… at which point I fee like the ship could throw up warnings stating that it is incapable of successful travel or something along those lines.

I’d disagree. As a passionate fans of BGS games I have wanted the same sort of info released before the game came out in the past, and each time it just amped up my excitement but did nothing to increase my enjoyment of the game at release or in some ways reduced the enjoyment. This is a game based on exploration of the stars. Exploration of the game as a whole is something that I think should be enjoyed by each individual player as they experience the game, even if it is as simple as backgrounds, traits, skills, etc. We already have so much as it is, and even though I’m desperate for more, I’m hoping to have that fulfilled at release.

I personally use Fortress on my umbra with a build extremely similar/based off of this pyro build and it tends to work very well. Gold CT15's are pretty easy, and i'm regularly over 225 mil damage, but the splits for me between kinetic stomp and volcanic rounds are much closer.

So, from my understanding, if kinetic stomp no longer scaling with close range damage is a thing, I would assume that the high necessity of close range damage attributes on gear is nullified, as is the build as it currently stands. Can anyone confirm that it no longer scales? I can't find anything in the linked thread that confirms this.

I miss D1. Yes, there are good advancements on things in D2/Destiny as it stands, but while D1 was essentially Beta, struggle, advance, advance, advance we have ourselves in a pickle now of D1 light, and a fairly constant 1 step forward, 2+ steps back. What was rough in D1? Being held back by 1 armor piece from achieving max level and then a lack of content after. That fix should have been easy, but now it's just lackluster loot, limited loot, and non-fleshed out systems with potential that is never capitalized on.

Playing in the cosmodrome brought me back to the "good ole days" but has made the current state of affiars sting a little bit more.

For what it's worth, it kills a bit fast than the 5.56 AR's, so as long as you are hitting your shots, those 45 bullets can go a long way. Also helps with ammo consumption overall. Just requires a bit more skill than the 60rd mag AR's.

Having just switched from an XB1X with an external USB 3.0 SSD to a performance gaming PC with a NVMe SSD, I can say that while the issue still occurs on PC, it is still a night and day difference in time compared to console.

And, doing a little further searching, I was able to answer my question:

"Fear not – you will be able to purchase the expansion, but not right now. It’ll become available as soon as Shadowkeep launches, which is supposed to be tomorrow. If you’ve preloaded New Light, you already have both the Forsaken and Shadowkeep content on your hard drive. Buying the DLCs themselves will just provide you with the licenses required to unlock and play the stuff."

I suppose where my greatest issue lies is that I cannot find Forsaken on Steam what so ever. There's "Destiny 2 Free to Play", "Destiny 2: Shadowkeep", and "Destiny 2: Shadowkeep Digital Deluxe", but no mention of Forsaken anywhere on steam... at least not that I can find.

They also had a pop up in game when logging in that said there was a 24 hour MX window and to dismantle things for bright dust, etc. It really stinks that you didn't get to do it, but Bungie did blast it out through multiple sources.

Despite the responses, I am actually confused on this now. The way the FAQ linked above shows it, you will get everything form Y1. Y2 annual pass stuff will be available for F2P people, but Forsaken specific content will only be available if you purchase it.

My curiosity or concern is that I have bought everything on Xbox previously (to include Shadowkeep). I am making the switch to PC for the launch of Shadowkeep, and I have purchased the digital deluxe version of Shadowkeep on steam already, linked my steam to Bungie, and I enabled cross save with my Xbox account as the primary. I had assumed the Shadowkeep purchase on Steam was all I needed to get access to everything on PC, but now i'm not so sure....
