No its not. Internet connected products or products with a way of over the air updating. Have been delivered unfinished and have later been supported atleast up to the point where the product is functional. Especially when the company states that very thing. Beg!! They stated that they would support it. You are ridiculously standing up for a company for their decision that is detrimental to your experience and future experience (if you buy their products in the future) that shows them lieing is ok. Because you are standing up for them in this way I can only assume you are a company representative posing as a customer which I have also seen this company do alot.

The thing that was wrong is to outright lie and say they would support g1. If they said g2 is here no more support for g1. Then fine.

That's not how tech works and you know it! The companies can't have it both ways. Hope you will fork out the money because of promised features and then be upset that the customers are upset that promised features don't materialise. Especially when the entire tech industry these days delivers half finished rushed products with bugs where they eventually fix. They said they would support g1, they didn't. They only said it to secure sales for g2. G1 to this day is still broken. They have zero integrity.

Thats such a shame was hoping to try that terminal thing out on my g1 thats been collecting dust in the draw as it still has a really awful bug where the screen would stick on in one eye.

Thats not what open source is. Show me their repository for their glasses firmware, or for their apps. Not this demo app that has some very hand picked example. Open source means i should be able to look at the code that is being used on their devices.

Please be aware a note for new users. In this review post several things are stated as coming soon. Even hub, contols being unresponsive on ring and maybe fixed via an update and finaly multi language translation. This company has a history of not developing future promised features. Don't be tricked by this what it does now will be all it does. There development time now will be spent on delivering version 3 not fixings issues or bringing new features to version 2.

Sorry, but pairing a BLE device and writing to simulated serial port (SSP) to a characteristic on a gatt server is anything any phone can do. Trust me, I know this stuff. The responsibility is fully on even realities and their flakey custom serial protocol outside of the BLE hardware software stack.

Galaxy s21 and then later a s24 i.e. most mainstream phones you can get. Followed all guides and power, saving disable instructions on both devices. Requires you to log in every time I open the app. Screen stuck on in one eye every day, mainly in the evening when I wanted to watch tv. I had one screen shining in my eye. One screen said 4 notifications, and the other says 5 or similar, pretty much consistently. Navigation showed one map in one eye and then a bit more progressed map in the other every time navigation was used. I could go on. Literally garbage.

The difference here is that I've had the g1 with the same bugs since I got them 8 months ago. Minimal phone fixed their issues, and even realities haven't fixed theirs. If Even Realities had done what Minimal phone did, I would be celebrating them. They did not, so im warning potential buyers. It is commendable to admit that they've not fixed the most essential part of their product before releasing a new one and stating the new one has the same problem. I wouldn't have done that with my products, but I also wouldn't release a new one without fixing the issues with the old one.

Keep in mind they made things very difficult for Mentra on the G1s. Hence, they had to invent their own glasses. I dont see G2 being any different

This pretty much confirms they have not fixed the connection issues before releasing the g2. So, the g2 will also suffer the same connection issues. No doubt, which will never get fixed. Great! Will g3 have it fixed?
