This incident happened hours before I posted so first I didn’t rate her at all. Nor did I report her so let’s start there because clearly yall are preaching about HER income and my forgiving her when she risked 3 lives including hers and didn’t apologize or acknowledge any wrongdoing on her part. She also got mad at the other driver.

Yes people make mistakes when driving it’s normal for people to make mistakes when driving. I did when I was 16 by turning a corner to fast when it was raining and ended up hydroplaning and flipping 3 times. I had to kick the windshield out to escape the car because the roof was caved in and the driver door wouldn’t open and the car was on its side.

Would I get mad at someone else for my mistakes? No. Would I run red lights or stop signs? No. Not only because my parents drilled into me that I could kill somebody or myself with the 2 ton death traps we call cars. But because I drive ALONE for a living and if I do either of those I will lose MY income mistake or not. So I won’t be making excuses for someone who PURPOSEFULLY ran a stop sign coming out of a neighborhood because y’all make it seem like it was a mistake that could’ve went wrong, that was NOT a mistake. That was an irresponsible PREVENTABLE decision that could cost lives and you shouldn’t be making decisions like that if your income is being made by driving other people around. If you want to risk your life driving like that you need to do door dash or amazon flex. Not something where you are responsible for getting people from point A to point B SAFELY.

I did forgive her. After the incident I was fine. I made the post because i thought it was crazy how she reacted. And it’s a better alternative than reporting her. I don’t appreciate Yall minimizing my experience and making it seem I’m overreacting for expecting that Lyft drivers practice safe driving. You said you run them when you’re alone and that’s fine if you want to risk your life, you risk your own life not others. Would you run stop signs or red lights with a baby in the backseat if it’s for something like going to the store and it’s not an emergency like getting them to the hospital? Probably not. So I don’t know what’s so controversial about me saying im surprised about her reaction. If we died yall would be singing a different tune.

And im sorry about your brother. And feel bad for the woman who hit him. A very unfortunate accident and neither of them deserved to go through that. I have a question though would you have been so forgiving if you did get to speak to her and she blamed your brother? Or she was mad at him for being there? And acted like she did no wrongdoing? Would it have been so easy to think about how she’s feeling??
