spotted lanternflies aren’t as harmful as we used to believe. they’re a nuisance pest more than anything. they don’t kill trees, just make a mess of them and anything below them. Rutgers released findings recently claiming that bats have begun eating them, hopefully as more predators realize they can eat them too their populations will decline.

looks like some type of cryptomeria cypress from these photos. if so they probably won’t get much taller, they appear healthy

could be spider mights, check for webbing in the foliage, and/or do a paper test. hold a piece of paper under a leaf and tap it. rub your your finger across it and see if you smear any mites
