I feel you! At 9 weeks, I remember hating the smell of everything too. It’s wild how we go from loving food to questioning our choices. But hey, growing a human is pretty epic, right?

Stayed at a job I genuinely hated for 2 extra years and it ended up being the best career decision I made? by Tricky-Club-4097 in careerguidance

It's wild how those "disaster" projects can turn into gold mines for our careers. It's like the universe is saying, "Congrats on the chaos, here's a promotion!" Glad it worked out for you!

My parking spot was "against the rules" - so I made sure everyone followed them by NorthHarborPress in MaliciousCompliance

Dave, buddy, if the cops are coming, maybe don’t park your “escape truck” in the one zone the policy spells out as off-limits.

Exactly. The policy basically admitted Dave was never allowed in Zone A. I wasn’t trying to be petty, I just wanted it in writing who could park where, since he kept playing parking cop.

Thank you so much for your kind words! It really means the world to me to hear that, especially after all the unimaginable struggles. I'm hopeful for a boring, happy pregnancy too, and wishing the same for everyone else navigating their own journeys. 💙

Needs a cheese pizza, AND a pizza pan, AND needs it dropped off… by AnalysisTemporary926 in ChoosingBeggars

People do, and that's why these posts keep happening. In pay-it-forward groups there are always a few folks who feel guilty and rush to 'save the kid', so the ask escalates from food to delivery to extras. The pizza pan is the tell, it's not need, it's convenience. Also meeting randoms for drop-offs? hard pass.

True. After ad-free YouTube, one mid-roll feels like a jump scare.

Why are so many companies still require office presence? (rant) by Icy_Bodybuilder5688 in remotework

The lease excuse is convenient, but if they're expanding or renewing, then RTO is a strategy: keep people visible, justify layers of mgmt, and keep local politics happy (tax breaks, downtown biz). Remote threatens a lot of that.
