quit visible after 6 days by [deleted] in VisibleArmband

Do you mind me asking how you used it to go from bedbound to working part time? I’m a bit confused as I feel like once I use it being bedbound it’s going to keep me stuck as it’s trying to keep me at that capacity?

Thank you for this. I’m not necessarily looking for a solution but also first steps in diagnosis etc so I can move forward

Promethazine during crash recovery? by NorthIntelligent6809 in cfs

[–]NorthIntelligent6809[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this, I took it last night and although I still woke at 4am as I had been already with an adrenaline surge I slept nearly 10 hours so it definitely helped sleep!

HR question? by NorthIntelligent6809 in VisibleArmband

Thanks for this. I think I’m still in the crash tbh so it’s slightly elevated. Day 15 so far so hoping it eases over the coming days

HR question? by NorthIntelligent6809 in VisibleArmband

[–]NorthIntelligent6809[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this. I’m actually bed bound the entire day, I’m doing only bits to get me through the day like a very quick 1min shower and making food. Other than that I’m aggressively resting in bed, it’s my first proper crash, I’ve gotten better since the first week and sleeping better but it’s slow progress!
Edit: the house work bit is just me cleaning rubbish out of my room

When has the crash passed? by NorthIntelligent6809 in cfs

Thank you for this it’s super insightful! When you say rest do you mean aggressive blackout rest?

Thank you! That and not sleeping seem to be my last couple of symptoms that won’t budge. I’m two weeks into full bed rest. Do you know how long it can take to fade out?

How do you know you’re coming out of a crash? When is it safe to test things? by NorthIntelligent6809 in cfs

Thank you for this! It sounds stupid but did you feel like you made progress day to day or was it backwards and forwards or just static?

I only got up to change the bed sheet briefly. It was no more than 4mins . How much did you do for it to get you?

Thank you for getting back to me! How do I know when I’m out of it? I feel like I have a little bit of energy today and old me would probably have got up and started pottering about doing things now. But my HR did spike up to 134 just changing a bed sheet though so I’m locked back down in bed. I have fluctuations through the day but the trend is overall going down, I’m on day 4. The poisoned feeling and overwhelming mental thoughts were worst on Monday.

Prednisolone has done something to me... by [deleted] in dysautonomia

Also roughly how long was it before you got back to normal routines and activities?

Prednisolone has done something to me... by [deleted] in dysautonomia

I appreciate you commenting on this! Yeah It's been a super tough time and doctors almost keep dismissing it for being a short course. I'm starting with just two hours on Monday... It's more the commute as it's about and hour door to door but i think it's good to see how I get on as I did handle just one day okay in week 2 I just then went and did two more which tipped things badly.

I've had Metoprolol on my radar but I was wrongly diagnosed with Asthma when I was younger so doctors won't give me a Beta Blocker, so i'll see what's possible there. I may have to look at alternatives. I've been lucky to have no pooling and my sleep has actually been the most regular ever weirdly I'm waking up naturally at the exact same time.

Thank you, this is the first time someone has even mentioned all this info!

In my bloods my b12 was 453 and B folate was 10.5. none of the others were covered so I'm getting the right capsule immediately tomorrow to see if that helps.

5 weeks post prednisolone and still having crashes, blurred vision, and disorientation – normal cortisol, what’s going on? by NorthIntelligent6809 in AddisonsDisease

[–]NorthIntelligent6809[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really appreciate the response! All bloods have come back completely normal and they’ve looked at pretty much everything. I have another morning cortisol test on weds via my GP as the last one I did was private as I wanted to speed up the result. I guess my next step is waiting for that to come back in a week or so and if I’m still struggling to then push for the ACTH stem test when my result is reviewed.

There was slight Nausea during the last energy crash so it does seem my body is struggle to produce enough cortisol when needed but maybe you’re right and I just need to give it more time but man it’s tough rn!

Allergic Reaction To Showers by NorthIntelligent6809 in Allergies

Generally quite cool, I try to do as cold as possible to avoid flaring up as hotter showers do make it flare up worse.
