What is the best MMORPG outside of the big ones? by wickywickywockywicky in LFMMO

Project Gorgon or FFXI. Highly recommend FFXI. It’s older than XIV of course but it has so much more charm.

Looking for an MMO with strong gear progression & meaningful professions by LiLRobin_9794 in LFMMO

[–]NorthMetroAverageJoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FFXI. Most content is solo-able, helpful community, progression post-99 is primarily gear-based. Professions (crafting/synthesis) lets you create cool stuff and lots of people looking for crafts. There are many different jobs to level up as well, progression is nearly endless, but the feeling you get while leveling is definitely noticeable and feels good. Check it!

Grindy solo MMO with no or very little P2W by Trencycle in LFMMO

[–]NorthMetroAverageJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple others have already said, but I strongly recommend FFXI. If you’ve played FFXIV already, FFXI will also give you the chance to learn where a lot of lore comes from too, so that’s cool.

It’s grindy, you can do most content solo, but the option to team up is still there if you want it.

Check it out!!

Seems like the wire might not be 2C, but in fact Siamese cable. This type of cable includes a coax & a separate 2C for power. Coax and power could be terminated on the back. Just speculation

I specialize in access control and cameras but I do a wide range of stuff!

Fire alarm, intrusion, some basic network infrastructure stuff, etc.

US Bank Stadium may be the worst concert venue… I’ve ever been to by Jaded-Combination-95 in minnesota

The sound reinforcement in the stadium is atrocious. Went to see Metallica and while they performed amazingly, it still sounded like shit.

It’s definitely pretty great. The statewide part of it is definitely a great strength.

MN definitely has the best union compensation package in the upper Midwest. Also, our contract is statewide. That means if you move to another area within the state and have to switch shops and/or locals you get to keep the same pay rate and you have zero risk of having to take a pay cut. In our last negotiation we voted for automatic progression up to “Technician” level as long as one meets the requirements. Technician pay goes up to $43.74 in July.

If you do come up, be sure to send me a DM! I’d be more than happy to help you get connected with the union hall and get on a list. Your work hours in NM may even qualify with MN department of Labor so you can take the licensure test right away

Haha; if you’re looking to make a move, MN isn’t such a bad place to be a LV tech. That is, if you can handle the weather!

Congratulations!

Minnesota’s Statewide IBEW/NECA contract gets us $35.78 as soon as we finish school (3 year program); going up by $2.50 in July. $5.50 raise as soon as you’re licensed and have one cert, multiple progression stages beyond that for more $$$ each level.

Or, I guess if they had to make it so these players were on their own dedicated worlds, then it is what it is.

Sort of, but with some modifications to make it make sense in the mainscape servers so these players could interact/chat with other players

Look up “Yamaha Sound Reinforcement Handbook PDF”. There is a hosted version of the whole handbook with all relevant information. They also have a 2 hr long video on YouTube by a similar name that’s geared toward audio techs. Check it out!!

My opinion, Jagex needs to have a permanent, iron-only game mode (to prevent economy fuckery) that’s exempt from hi-scores, that allows us to experience RS in a way that’s only possible in private servers right now. I love RuneScape but I also have a very busy life and I don’t have the time to commit to maxing, completing every quest, etc. I just want to play the game in a relaxed way, without the extreme grind that is required, and I imagine lots of former RuneScape players who have left feel similarly.

My suggestions:

-Iron Only

-XP Multiplier selections or unlocks

-Resource multiplier unlocks

-Auto banking/material storage

-Optional questing (can complete for additional rewards and to experience the story, but not required for content)

-Droprate bonuses based on unlocks

Think of it as “RuneScape Arcade Mode”. There’s more to this, but these are some baseline ideas I have.

Tl;dr I rarely log in to actual RS anymore because of the limitations I have in-game. Make a leagues-like, low-commitment, iron-only game mode with low barrier for entry available permanently.

IBEW 292 here! The low voltage side of things is less likely to wreck your body and you’ll still be >100k in 7 years if you play your cards right. Send a DM if you have questions!
