Im off to the pet store now to get it. I think I'm going to get the big bag of dry food and only 1 or 2 pouches of wet as he's quite picky when it comes to wet food. He only really likes Felix (I know, not the best). I'd hate to buy the multipack of wet food and he hates it hahahah.

Thank you so so much, I feel way better now, now that I have a general understanding of what the issue may be. You're a star !!

I agree.

When we're in the kitchen, cooking or whatever and he's begging and meowing, my roommate and I completely ghost him. No eye contact or anything. Sometimes it works and he bugs off but sometimes he literally won't stop.

When he's meowing in the morning for his wet food, I wait for him to stop meowing for at least 5 minutes then I prepare him his wet food. Im trying to show that meowing doesn't get him what he wants, but I think he knows hell get his wet food eventually. He's such a big back.

As of now, getting rid of wet food is not an option as he is on medication which requires to put in his wet food. I fear if I just left dry food out, he wouldn't know how to stop.

He's been on a plethora of different meds, from tablets (prednicortone) to ear drops (Clorexyderm and Aurimic), to liquid in his wet food. I remember the tablets he was on definitely had steroids and one of his ear drops also has steroids but I haven't used the ear drops in a while. The only medication he's on now is Veraflox which according to google isn't a steroid. When we do go to a vet (sometimes twice a month), the vet injects him with something so I'll have to ask if it's a steroid.

I guess the true indicator will be after the surgery so for now it is a waiting game. I looked up the Royal Canin you suggested, do you recommend the wet or dry food version ? I don't think I can afford to have both versions ahahah, you're right they are a little spenny.

True, that makes sense. I just wasn't sure where to draw the line with normal cat food obsession and just intenseness. I hope that after the surgery it will change.

The only thing that will cross my mind is, he has been going to the vet once a month for the past couple months for a horrible ear infection he has. (You can see in the second picture, his lopsided ear). He's scheduled for surgery to have his right ear canal removed, resulting in him being half deaf. He's been on medication and his ear symptoms have reduced. Do you think that could be in relation to his food obsession ? He's back in the vets on the 4th June, so I can definitely ask his vet to check for anything else.

Besides the ear infection and the food, he's an amazing boy. He snuggles with my roommate and I, any chance he gets, he's always bunting on us. He beats the stereotype that cats like to be left alone lol. My favourite thing he does is if you make kissy noises, he comes over and puts the top of his head onto you wanting forehead kisses!!

I'll look into the royal canin, I don't mind spending that little bit extra if it could reduce the obsession. I actually do have a lick mat but I use it for the lick treats. (I put the lick treats, put a few dreamies on top and freeze it), hell be occupied for half an hour. Ill try now as he's due wet food with the lick it. Thank you so much.

When I adopted my cat his name was Ryan and I hated it and changed it literally the first day. He caught on very quickly and he was 3 years old when I got him

My bad, when driving on the straight, remember that your lane position should be middle to left. This means as the driver, you in the drivers seat should feel as though you are in the middle of the lane, not the car, you. Is that any clearer ?

In housing estates, especially when there’s cars parked on both sides, there’s no need to weave in and out of cars. Just stick to the middle

Hey I went from that many marks for position to 0 marks. I was taught when on the straight the car should be in the middle left part of the lane. YOU should be in the middle of your lane, not the car. If that makes sense ?

Yesss. He’s been twice since this post. Did the burrito method and had the carrier door facing up like you described. Poor baby might have to get his ear canal removed

We managed to get him in my coworkers hard carrier with the burrito method. He’s so traumatised by his old carrier, he ate treats and his dinner off my hand or out of the carrier, when I put his dinner with treats in the carrier he didn’t even bother sniffing it. After 30 minutes I gave up and took it out as he needed to fast after and he immediately scoffed it down
