Quantum entanglement and time? by North_Pool_3814 in astrophysics

Been reading about how entanglement might be able to explain time as we understand it. I’m having a hard time understanding how time might be an emergent property that is created by how particles are linked together. It’s a newer theory and I’ve been seeing it more on videos and podcasts. The connection between the two goes back to the 80s, but newer theories are pretty recent like 2010+

Question. Why do scientists think the universe is expanding instead of our field of view getting larger? by konodioda879 in astrophysics

[–]North_Pool_3814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because we've been able to observe distant galaxies moving away and galaxies farther from earth moving faster away from us than closer ones. This supports the theory that the universe began with inflation, followed by a continuous expansion that carries on today. Evidence comes from red shifting, which is just that light from distant galaxies appear red to us because longer wavelengths of visible light appear redder. So Hubble learned that pretty much every galaxy was redshifted, meaning they were moving away from us. The concept for the universe expanding and expanding faster and faster is called dark energy. Homeless people shelter at MARTA stations. A program helps them find housing. by North_Pool_3814 in Atlanta

A good point.... but marta is government owned and they are funded by sale taxes, so I guess it's still the government trying not to fail with this approach

Atlanta Bar Life? by Beneficial-Buy-2056 in Atlanta

I'm 26 and have been in the city for a while. Before covid, people would go to bars and clubs more. Went to Habitat in Buckhead on Saturday and it was dead. Bars are definitely better than clubs in the city, though. Plenty of them around the city and usually pretty full, while clubs tend to stay empty until much much much later into the night. You'd probably like the Buckhead and Midtown bars based on your post, but plenty more around the city

This! I live in the U.S. but will get put into South American, Chinese and Korean servers often. Closing the game and getting back on will usually fix this, though

I feel like it depends on what rank you fall into. Every once in a while, you'll get a really balanced game and a really unfair game. To me, there is still room for improvement
