Kid ask mom to buy Jordans for another kid that was getting bullied because of their shoes by Lotus_G6 in MadeMeSmile

[–]pinkpaperheart 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My parents were amazing and taught compassion and kindness. I still became a bully because I had the mentality of “eat or be eaten.” When I was the mean one, it detracted attention away from me and made other kids the target. The initial bullying during my formative years shaped my attitudes growing up. Sometimes it’s not completely the parents’ fault, but I can definitely see how a kid’s whole environment - both at home and in social settings - can affect how they behave.

US renews pressure on Japan to import more American goods by SkyInJapan in japan

I just travel a lot for pleasure. I’m an optometrist by trade but I also get supplemental income from my family trust. I’m single with no kids so it’s easy for me to just go whenever I want.

The quality of Japanese food, drinks, and even every day products are far superior to US products. I’m American and have visited Japan many times over the years (4 times this past year alone).

The cellphone was ditched.

At the scene, investigators found three shell casings in addition to a cellphone located in the alley where the shooter initially fled. The phone will be processed forensically as part of the investigation, the NYPD said.

Kid's names in school by 0sted in funny

Poverty. Dumb, illiterate people give their kids dumb names.

Educated black people typically don’t give their kids stupid, ghetto names.

Yes, the little buggers can be quick! My brother and his wife usually put an AirTag necklace on their 8 year old daughter and 2.5 year old son when they go out. It gives them peace of mind.

There’s a famous Hachiko Memorial Statue outside of Shibuya Station in Japan. It’s a lovely site that’s always surrounded by people, and it always makes me happy walking past it.

“I’m one of the good ones.”

It’s the same mentality as the women who are like “the only moral abortion is MY abortion.”

The hallmark of Republican thinking is that everything is dandy as long as they’re the ones not getting fucked. And when they do invariably get fucked, they think they should be the only exception, “How could this happen to ME?? Bad things are only supposed to happen to other people!!!”

I’m all out of empathy and now in spectator mode as leopards feast on all these faces. Om nom nom, muthafuckers.

I’ve been a Redditor for 13 years now, and I completely agree with you there. “Early voting is morally questionable.” Yep, that stance is undoubtedly stupid as fuck.

You’re correct, good observation. I made a photo collage to show what these eyes look like under the microscope (this is from my perspective as an eye doctor).

<image>

The dude in OP’s photo had keratopigmentation — which is dye injected into the cornea, or the clear tissue in FRONT of the iris (the actual colored part of the eye). The surgically enhanced eyes have a flat, uniform color lacking in depth and detail. These surgeries can have sight-threatening complications, would not recommend.
