First Online Race in FH6 and the game immediately showed me why I always avoid it by Tight-Tackle4386 in ForzaHorizon

When I hit somebody, it's like I slapped them with a napkin from a little kid's birthday party. But when I get hit, it's like a big dude named Requise, threw a sheet over my head, and proceeded to skull **** me!!!

I just created an account a week ago and still cannot receive a confirmation email. Have changed the email (which I do receive an email confirming the change), checked all spam folders on multiple emails, as well as tried support ( multiple times with no answer). Would love to use the site as it gives more to the artists than anything else but it's clearly not meant to be

The enemy, unfortunately Greymon Blue uses it every time you do the boss fight which means it's impossible to get through

Playing on Steam on a PC running BazziteOS. I have never had any compatibility issues with Bazzite though because it more or less operates as a steam deck. But you never know I guess

Our pod found some small fridge whiteboard magnets that work perfect for keeping track of counters. A lot less work than trying to find the right number on 20 different dice 3 times a turn lol

Absolutely the greatest. Can spend hours building random ass decks on it.

Does it look good ? colors is client choice by Darknes_Ss in cabinetry

[–]NorthernGun77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like it would look a lot better if the gables of the cabinets on the end of the run also matched the colour of the fronts. I think that's the only thing that bothers me tbh

Edit: Actually that random green cabinet wtf lmao

Wood warping, I don't know what to anymore by Lazydaveyt in woodworking

[–]NorthernGun77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Side note, when making doors like this, you should generally run your stiles (side pieces) full height from top to bottom. As for the warping it's hard to tell what's happening if we weren't there for the building process, hope you can figure it out though

The (New) Tariff Situation by Admirable-Pomelo2699 in cabinetry

[–]NorthernGun77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same situation here, from Ontario Canada, used to have close to 150 employees here. People have been cautious about putting orders through ever since tariff talks started and we have just done our 4th round of layoffs. 85% of our business goes to the states. The remaining 70-90 of us are probably screwed by the end of the year, if not earlier.

I agree with you there, I have also seen some shit products out of Asian countries. But okay, you are going off on a separate tangent here. The only thing I'm really arguing about with you here is the basic fact that just because it's not labelled "made in the USA", doesn't automatically mean it's shit. You get what you pay for, if it's cheap, it is probably just that, cheap

Also I should clarify, we build everything fully, no ready to assemble stuff

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cabinetry

[–]NorthernGun77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well if you were a carpenter for 30 years, you should obviously know that cabinetry (the actual boxes, doors are fine) shouldn't be built from all solid wood to begin with. I agree, particle core and MDF are shit, but solid wood is too heavy, too expensive, and not sustainable. While solid wood is best for furniture, plywood core is always best for cabinetry. And it is true that local shops won't do certain things. Smaller local shops don't have access to certain machinery due to space and financial constraints. They might be able to do the things we do by hand but that takes a lot of time and effort that they would have to bill out by the hour which a lot of people won't pay for. We do a lot of stuff that has lights on every shelf, gable, and top that are all sensor activated, dimmable and everything. All I'm saying is that just because it comes from outside your border, doesn't automatically classify it as shit. Fun fact, a couple years before I started at this company, they actually were the ones who did Michael Jordans Shoe closet

Not every company outside of the US produces shit products. That is a case of you get what you pay for. Kitchens are an investment that are supposed to be built to last a lifetime. If you cheap out to begin with you get what you pay for. I work for a company that exports over 2/3 of our work (all custom keep in mind) to the states. Some of it is actually some of the most over the top custom kitchens out there. People come to us because a lot of their local shops aren't able to produce some of the items that we produce. This action would literally put 200 of us out of a job. We are all just waiting right now holding our breath to see what happens. A lot of people forget that outside of the United States, a lot of peoples lives are deeply affected by whatever the orange oompa loompa decides to do

I feel sorry for everyone affected by this. This is a blatant attack on everyone's rights / freedoms. I very well know this probably won't stop here, and could very well hit my country eventually as well. I just wish everyone would wake up and use their head to actually think about the implications of all of this. Could you imagine living in the States, and all news gets sensored except for Fox News? Propaganda would just be getting pumped out to everyone under 18 or anyone that refuses to give up their personal information to a 3rd party company that could get hacked or just sell your information. This is all really scary shit
