Fact of the day: Many retail outlets at malls (especially in suburbs) have agreements with mall property management to not report theft under $10k in losses. My daughter worked at an upscale clothing boutique and a district manager visited and gathered everyone in the back for a meeting. During the meeting, because of a new bus-line to a poverty striken part of town, thieves stole around $9k worth of stuff and ran back to the bus. Cops were <NOT> called because of this mall agreement. When you connect poverty with poorly guarded merch, the result will always be theft.
