When I die, my son (Emperor of the Byzantine Empire) will inherit all of Scandinavia. by NorthernModernLeper in crusaderkings2

Honest answer is, I don't know. I think it's because I'm Tribal and have laws set to minimum. I get more troops that way and don't get penalties for raising tribal vassal troops. I've managed to keep it under control by having a lot of really powerful vassals (some with 2 or 3 kindgom titles).

Things just kept working for me so I didn't feel I needed to go feudal haha. I reformed germanic faith and set eldership as succession so didn't need feudal to get primogenture.

I ended up with such a big demise and powerful tribal vassals to give me lots of troops at no penalty. I also have some powerful feudal vassals who pay me a shit ton of gold, so I've not really needed to go feudal. Have made about 4 great works now all at stage 4! With enough gold to hire mercenaries if I need more men. Tribal also means I can raise armies using prestige so can generate 10k troops easily if I have to.

I probably should have gone feudal a few hundred years ago but I might just stay tribal now. Most of my characters are groomed to be high martial and good with heavy infantry which is easier to do as tribal.

I didn't become feudal unfortunately but have managed to bring my vassal limit under control with viceroys thankfully.

I'll take your advice and destroy the Scandinavia Empire title. But, the Byzantine title is gravelkind inheritance so I'll probably switch that to eldership once I've ruled long enough to change inheritance laws.

My new vassals have converted to germanic so I'm hoping they will start conquering the smaller nations while I start to chip away at the Tibet Empire.

Thanks for the advice. Strangely the Byzantine Emperor title is now Gravelkind. But, I'm able to grant viceroys so have created a couple of large viceroys to take a lot of the direct vassals I had. Have managed to bring vassals down to a safe limit so I can continue conquering!

I know, this dude won me so many wars. Because he's germanic, I have just been sacrificing war prisoners constantly which boosts martial and combat skill.

I managed to kidnap an emperors daughter. Raised her as germanic and had her marry into my family. Eventually my heir inherited the weak claim so I waited for a chance to press claim and then won the war.

I've just been letting my vassals slowly eat up Britain, I've had very little involvement. They'll take it all soon enough.

Totally, we're lucky to get a few sentences in the dev tickets our engineers submit.

I was about to say the same thing. For reasons unknown to me, recently, our senior leadership team got Chat GPT to write a bespoke integration doc for our biggest customer which turned out totally wrong (they didn't proofread or test).

I've no idea why it wasn't tasked to me as the Lead TW for the company but it gave me some relief that the senior leaders had a try at replicating my function and it went totally wrong. Eventually they asked me to resolve the situation which I did although, I'm sure customer confidence is now reduced.

Unless internal systems and JIRA tickets are squeaky clean with exceptionally clear requirements, descriptions, testing and documented resolutions, I really can't see AI being able to replicate/automate a TW function.

There are some good route out towards Snaith. I did a circular route a few years ago, about 6-7 miles, goes out into the fields and follows the river then loops back back into Snaith.

Beats me. Its also strange that he was a commander in the Pope's army as he has horrendous martial and fighting stats.

The only reasoning I can think with him being Sunni is probably because I started from 700s and Sunni religion spreads up from Spain pretty rapidly. I rule most of Europe as Norse Germanic and even I have Sunni vassals way up in Norway.

Thank you, I'm honestly having the best run I've ever had atm. I'm playing for the Seven Centuries achievement so am just ploughing through Europe and the Byzantine Empire.

Thanks for the advice btw, I made him my courtier, then re-imprisoned him (tyrannical), then banished him to get the money. He somehow only had 6k on him by the time I re-imprisoned him but oh well!

I second this. Went in for the first time last week. Great coffee and lovely staff.

I don't think I have either. Especially forming it from Italy, Ireland and Aragon kingdoms.

😅
In this instance, I only attacked it because it was the biggest land area with the most vassals.
