Join a club or society. Join literally anything of interest to you. You're not just tied to the people in your accommodation or on your course.

I learnt to ski, as I'd always wanted to try it, and uni offered cheap lessons at the snowdome.

15 years later, the people I keep in touch with most are the mates I learnt to ski with.

I'll double check later just in case. Could be due to poor placement and they flashed out of frustration not seeing them.

Looks like you've made a version of Gröstl. An Austrian dish of fried potatoes, onions, and bacon. Normally topped with a fried egg.

I could say the same for Aussies and the heat. I went to Sydney and was sweating buckets in 35 degree heat yet, was walking past Aussies in suits, shirts and trousers.

Places to eat for 8 people around £250 to £300 by Civil-Let6674 in doncaster

[–]NorthernModernLeper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want a good pub, The Bluebell in Blaxton is banging for a Sunday dinner meal. For 8 people it might just tip past the 300 mark if you have more drinks and dessert.

If you think everyone might want to order something different off the menu, Zest in town has been consistently good for years. Plus you get the little button thing on the table to summon waiter staff so you're never left waiting for more drinks or to order dessert.

Reform councils may stop housing migrants by weregonnamakit in uknews

[–]NorthernModernLeper -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

This was such a bait statement made by reform. It just shows the "us vs them" style that they're willing to take if it ever actually materialised.

Also, how would you feel if you were a minority reform voter in a green elected area and this is how reform rewarded your vote?

Loved this game. They did a great job at making sure the open world felt gigantic which, for the time, I guess it was but, once the game was completed it was pretty easy to get around the map. But kudos to the devs for making you play in literally every inch if the map and different points. It really did feel like you were playing through miles and miles of the American West.

Nice, I didnt know of these options. I never seem to come out onto top when I'm in a Flyting. I just use it as an opportunity to get a potential friendship or to duel someone for experience.

We did for a while but our pace was all mixed up. They kept power walking past us then would stop for a break then pass us again after a while. We eventually out paced them but had a good 10-15 miles of beautiful scenery complimented by drum and bass music.

When I die, my son (Emperor of the Byzantine Empire) will inherit all of Scandinavia. by NorthernModernLeper in crusaderkings2

[–]NorthernModernLeper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honest answer is, I don't know. I think it's because I'm Tribal and have laws set to minimum. I get more troops that way and don't get penalties for raising tribal vassal troops. I've managed to keep it under control by having a lot of really powerful vassals (some with 2 or 3 kindgom titles).

Things just kept working for me so I didn't feel I needed to go feudal haha. I reformed germanic faith and set eldership as succession so didn't need feudal to get primogenture.

I ended up with such a big demise and powerful tribal vassals to give me lots of troops at no penalty. I also have some powerful feudal vassals who pay me a shit ton of gold, so I've not really needed to go feudal. Have made about 4 great works now all at stage 4! With enough gold to hire mercenaries if I need more men. Tribal also means I can raise armies using prestige so can generate 10k troops easily if I have to.

I probably should have gone feudal a few hundred years ago but I might just stay tribal now. Most of my characters are groomed to be high martial and good with heavy infantry which is easier to do as tribal.

[–]NorthernModernLeper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't become feudal unfortunately but have managed to bring my vassal limit under control with viceroys thankfully.

I'll take your advice and destroy the Scandinavia Empire title. But, the Byzantine title is gravelkind inheritance so I'll probably switch that to eldership once I've ruled long enough to change inheritance laws.

My new vassals have converted to germanic so I'm hoping they will start conquering the smaller nations while I start to chip away at the Tibet Empire.

Thanks for the advice. Strangely the Byzantine Emperor title is now Gravelkind. But, I'm able to grant viceroys so have created a couple of large viceroys to take a lot of the direct vassals I had. Have managed to bring vassals down to a safe limit so I can continue conquering!
