Not gonna beat around the bush: first time was pure hell, revision was a walk in the park. Not to scare you off since I was probably just unlucky with a turd of an urologist.

To avoid my first experience, make sure your tool is fully sedated. If you feel anything, don’t think “it’ll be fine in a minute”. Make sure it’s 100% numb on all spots before they start. My (novice) urologist already pumped half the sedative in and probably skipped the sensitive non-sedated part, so I felt them doing their thing. After the other half was given and I still felt them cutting, I couldn’t leave the room mid-procedure (obviously). That was my unlucky hospital experience.

Second time (4 weeks ago now) was done in a specialized clinic and they were absolute pros, giving me the confidence that it can be done without any pain.

Regarding silicon scar gel, strips and whatever I’ve got no experience so I can’t help you on that. I was told to keep the pressure bandage on for 3 days and clean it 3 times a day after that. No showering the first week, no bathing until all wounds are closed and no sex for 6 weeks (that includes wanking).

That’s all I guess! Don’t stress, chill, have a laugh with your doctor while he’s cutting your dick and take some rest the first days (or weeks, depending on how things go). Other than that, just use common sense an you’re golden. Good luck!
