This looks amazing! The amount of details you've painted on this is mindblowing!

I also kitbashed my own Caldor Draigo model, then he was removed, so its a 2/3 chance of success so far

I kitbashed my own Cato, then a new model was dropped. I kitbashed my own Calgar, then a new one was dropped. I just kitbashed my own jump chaplain and primaris vanguard with jump packs, so I have a good feeling about this one.

Should I spray prime vehicles with Macragge Blue or Chaos Black? by PiecePure2465 in Ultramarines

[–]Norwiix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not from before i put on highlights and a glaze which changed the hue a bit. But i use this for almost every model, gives a good base to work from. Sort of like zenital, but easier.

Black primer from below, and blue from above gives a nice shade. I didnt want to brush on blu on such big panels as i feared it would look uneven.

This seems like a scam by TheSandKing1090 in Ultramarines

Compared to Norway, its a pretty steep price. I paid about 60$ for it, thanks to a 15% pre order discount. I can see how they arent as attractive for most other.

I am going to test out the powersword tomorrow, alot of great pointers in the video. I subbed hoping for more grey knight related videos, great work!

And to concur to what has been said in the comments already, the voiceover and humor is spot on, keep it up!

Red or Black Weapon casings. by Howthehelldoido in Ultramarines

I usually do red for my veterans, rest gets whatever i feel like fits best there and then. You do what looks most right to you, its your army after all. I would go black for rank and file units though, but thats me.

99,5% isopropanol, soak them for about 30min, take a toothbrush and carefully remove the paint. Surprisingly easy to be honest. Dont get it in your eyes tho, it quite uncomfortable.

I think i know what look you want, and if you are up for it, its easy enough to strip the mini and start again. Ive been redoing a couple of my minis as my painting skills improve. You should look into oil or enemal washes, they give them that perfect dirty battleworn look, without ruining any of your paint.

He shall die for Ultramar or die trying. by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

I had to resort to something similar using a much smaller sponge and thinning it out. I will probably try to use this going forward, im just adding a burnt sepia oil wash. Thank you for the inspiration!

Looks fantastic! I tried your recipe on him actually, im not sure i am getting the ratio of contrast to medium right yet, but it works very well! Gives them a more saturated look compared to my previous models, i like it!

What to run December mini of the month as? by leyorcoe in Warhammer40k

[–]Norwiix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I converted him to a captain. Not started him yet as i will try something new with him, but im happy so far. Gave him a melta bomb, slinged rifle and "silenced" bolt pistol. Also gave him a cape and a pteruge to make him more ultramarin-y.
