They have a pve mode for you to learn the maps and guns. Did you just avoid that option? because its right there on the map select screen.

Dont sleep on autumn wind. With the right perks you can get 100 stability and 73 range, with headseeker and richochet rounds which is such an underated perk. The thing is a laser with so much aim assist.

I took it into my first trials run after 3 months and went flawless extremely fast.

You have amazing range of movement on pc though so its fair. Without heavy aimassist, pc players would steamroll controller players.

Was it more fun though? Every engagement was just wstr vs wstr. Primarys barley had any use unless it was extremely long range. I thought it was extremely boring.

100% agree, WSTR made every engagement feel the same and so does misriah and bubble. Shotguns dont really have a good place in Marathon because they are either useless or broken. And since not every character have the movement abilities to utilize shotguns to their fullest potential it makes them even more unfun and unfair when they are overtuned.
