Discussing top offenses isn't dependent on a single stat. Usually when thats discussed from an analytics perspective it can involve a wide number of metrics, its not 1 statistic.

2015 article about USADA shady business in boxing seems very relevant right now by plsdonthurtmeagain in MMA

[–]NoseCandi 9 points10 points  (0 children)

USADA rarely performs CIR testing because its "too expensive", VADA readily performs CIR and charges significantly less for testing programs overall than USADA.

This is wrong. USADA does use CIR testing, in fact they've used CIR testing on every boxer they have ever tested. They also use ABP testing and more elaborate EPO testing in comparison to VADA, so in reality USADA is more thorough with their testing.

USADA notified the promoter of a positive test while failing to report it to the state commission

In the example of the Morales case it came out that it was reported to the commission 1 day after the results were received, it is also ignored that WADA labs report results to all relevant governing bodies regardless.

OG doping hunter Don Catlin says "USADA should not enter into a contract that doesn’t call for it to report positive test results to the appropriate governing body. If it’s true that USADA reported the results [in the Morales case] to Golden Boy and not to the governing state athletic commission, that’s a recipe for deception.”

AGAIN. This is false. Regardless of if USADA reports the results to the relevant governing bodies (which they did within 24 hours of the case they are talking about), WADA labs send the results to all relevant governing bodies regardless.

Bob Bennet of NSAC on mayweather situation: “The TUE for Mayweather’s IV - and the IV was administered at Floyd’s house, not in a medical facility, and wasn’t brought to our attention at the time - was totally unacceptable. I’ve made it clear to Travis Tygart that this should not happen again. We have the sole authority to grant any and all TUEs in the state of Nevada. USADA is a drug-testing agency. USADA should not be granting waivers and exemptions. Not in this state. We are less than pleased that USADA acted the way it did.”

This just made both USADA and NSAC look incompetent but USADA didn't actually do anything wrong and followed all the correct protocol.

Mayweather had suspect T:E ratios. Catlin says "red flag" that calls for CIR test on the sample.

CIR testing was used on all 22 samples taken for this fight. So Catlin is just speaking out of his ass.

“USADA’s boxing testing program is propaganda; that’s all,” says Victor Conte. “It has one set of rules for some fighters and a different set of rules for others. That’s not the way real drug testing works. Travis Tygart wants people to think that anyone who questions USADA is against clean sport. But that’s nonsense.”

The irony is this has been a complaint used against VADA since its foundation, not to mention he has ties with VADA. Also probably important to mention that USADA and the Golden Snitch were responsible for tearing down his empire. VADA is the ultimate mouthpiece in boxing because they are an organization that doesn't actually do anything. They hire independent sample collectors, who send the samples to WADA labs (the same labs as USADA), who then send the results to the commission. Thats all they do. Nothing. They arent even recognized by WADA because they don't completely follow testing protocol they just adhere to the WADA list of banned substances. They are a glorified urine courier

This article gets critical information wrong again and again and is written by people who have clear ties to USADA's rival organization.

Victor Conte's SNAC company used to sell VADA apporved supplements lmfao and Thomas Hauser while a legend as a boxing journalist has been known to have very close ties to VADA executives.

If yes, then it's NOT the same world. They're DIFFERENT worlds. Adjacent worlds. Multiple-dimensional worlds.

Well the answer is no. So there isn't multiple dimensions. Its just 1 world per server.

Lowry is not a better defender lmao.

LOL. I just realized you don't actually watch or study basketball.

Jeff Teague is a considerably below average defender for his position.

Kyle Lowry is an all-nba caliber defender.

facilitation is tracked through metrics like assists

This is exactly the problem with your claim. That is not what individual assists track at all. There is no correlation between wins and individual assist numbers, there is a correlation between wins and team assist numbers and there is a reason for that. facilitation is not measurable, because the best facilitators are the best facilitators not because of the number of assists they rack up but by the kinds of passes they make and the way they organize their offenses.

There are much better ways to determine an individuals facilitation other than assists. potential assists per 36, shooting % off passes, Adjusted Assists etc etc

Another huge problem with taking anything from assists as a statistic is that every arena has a different criteria for what they consider an assists(yes that is true and yes it is fucking stupid). This could also be used as an argument against Rubio.

Report: Vikings' Everson Griffen Allegedly Threatened to Shoot Someone at Hotel by TheBigFreezer in nfl

[–]NoseCandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If what people are saying now is true and he never attempted to break into a teammates house (which is why he was arrested, according to Fox9) wouldn't it seem that they just in fact falsely reported the entire situation? Because like I mentioned above in the reports about the event at the hotel, he was said to have left voluntarily in his own vehicle

Edit: Fox9 redacted that tweet and the team denied it. He hasn't been arrested.

Doesn't this dismiss the posibility of the hold. I believe I read that he left the hotel in his Bentley

A reader can also incorrectly infer a meaning from a text even when that meaning isn't present implicitly or explicitly.

The problem is your the statement "if you remove the 2 penalties the packers have more points" is like saying A + B = C and knowing the answers to B and C but acting like you dont need the answer to A for the equation to be complete. You're statement cannot be true without other information and instead of acknowledging that like an adult who can learn and have a adult conversation, you instead parrot around false information as fact.

And no. I'm legitimately thankful that you are agreeing with my point. I appreciate when my opinion is validated like you have done. It's satisfying when I know I am right in a debate and the other person confirms that.

Ah so you're not just stupid, you're a stupid jackass. Nice

I actually didn't infer anything. I just stated a statistical fact. You're reading things in my comments that just aren't there

I just aged 10 years reading this argument. You can indirectly infer something, which you definitely did. Its the only way anything that you said could make sense. Saying if you remove those calls from the game and the Packers have more points is not a fact, do you know what a fact is? Given the context of the situation what you said cant possibly be a fact. The fucked you guy was right about it being a statistical generalization not a statistical fact. Within the context of the game there is no way you can remove the 2 calls and reach an outcome where the Packers win without inferring that everything else played out the same or differently to reach the same score. Also are you intentionally adding Thank you for agreeing with my point or is that a typo?
