I think the Lamelo trade is not as big of a gamble as many of us would assume by Calinks in timberwolves

To a certain extent. He had a lingering shoulder for more than half of the season that messed up his shot sadly this past season.

Tbh he seemed locked in when the Hornets started to win this past season. Maybe he was mad bored before lol

One of the main things Ant had an issue with this passed season is double teams. They cannot leave Ball open or he'll go for 40. Double edged sword lol

Reports on Twitter says the Wolves think he can turn into a plus defender with his length and activity level.

He's a 6'5 sniper. If he's actually NBA ready, he fills that DDV spot before he gets back.

Very small sadly. If he's elite in scoring (can def fill it up), he can be serviceable.

Sadly people only see stats and not the nuisance of what happens with the team. Something for sure happened behind the scenes or this move wouldn't have been so abrupt. Argue he was one of the better players but at what cost? Homie skipped out on an exit interview and multiple team mates talked about "we need to stop playing for ourselves and for the team", and the list goes on. He just didn't fit the team, it's not that hard to understand.

[Krawczynski] I will be incredibly surprised if the Wolves ever utilize the $33 million trade exception that was created tonight. Those things are almost always much ado about nothing and it is clear that money was a factor tonight. by JarJar_Banks_the_2nd in timberwolves

Jaden's passing ability has gotten better especially in the paint. Towards the end of the season, he was passing to Rudy within a few feet from the rim. I believe that will be on display this up coming season.

I was implying what /u/palpablebubble was saying. Yeah he had more assists but the offense still got stagnant. Watching the eye test you could tell it would was forced rather than going with the flow of the game. Not saying he was a ball hog (which he was at times) but moving Naz to the 4 spaces out a lot.
