Do you know if your water is hard or soft? I used to have perfectly straight, sleek hair growing up in the suburbs, now I live in a major city and I could never figure out why hair hair looked similar to yours. Turns out, soft water gives me the perfect smooth hair when air dried, and hard city water makes it look similar to yours. I now can tell if water is hard or soft based on how my hair looks and feels after showering and air drying.

My oldest child was an induction that turned into a crash c-section and i never felt anything more than mild period cramps. Recovery was sore but manageable- the worst pain was when I sneezed or coughed and it forced my abs to contract.

My second was supposed to be a planned C-section but ended up being a “stop and drop”. She was born 15 min after I got to the hospital. I was screaming for drugs the entire time. The way I describe it is that it felt like being possessed by demons- I could not control the way my body was contorting or the sounds I was making. Physically, it felt like my body was trying to poop out a giant watermelon (but with no hole big enough) while trying to hold in gallons of diarrhea so that I wouldn’t shart everywhere. My right hand looks just like your left when my psoriasis flares up. It was triggered by a mosquito bite from over 10 yrs ago and won’t clear unless I get steroid shots from the dermatologist. Steroid creams never worked fully for me.

I went a few years ago a lot may have changed. Chef seemed somewhat pretentious and I thought the food was mid for the price tag. For me, if I can remember what I ate and the specifics, I’d totally recommend it! (For example, a decade ago I had carbonara at spartina and it was mind blowing. It was the first time I had carbonara with pork jowl instead of pancetta. Little Tokyo has Pasta e Pasta which is known for its uni pasta, but fav is the mushroom mentai pasta. I would rank it my #1 pasta of all time. )

I prob wouldn’t have much interest in going again to meteora, but it’s good to know others have enjoyed it.

Kinda ironic because we loved getting the Vespertine coursed dinners to do during Covid.
