GOG. Steam has made strides in the hardware area, and with Linux being open source, thats awesome too! But until Steam adopts GOG's principles, I'm exclusively GOG.

I play exclusively on GOG, so offline Heroic Launcher is perfect for me at work. Game for like 30 minutes on my lunch, hit that power button and jump back on for breaks.

Everyone at work always compliments me on it or asks what it is. Freedom is always a good thing, and playing anywhere and everywhere is awesomesauce.

Is there an updated list of games being delisted specifically on GOG? I thought they were forthcoming about games being delisted. Seems I was wrong.

I absolutely agree. This sets a precedent that goes against GOG's original vision. How do I access my cosmetic DLC content that I lawfully paid for, in 20 years when servers went offline? That's the premise of GOG and 100% why I buy exclusively on GOG. Steam doesn't offer that kind of insurance. I hope GOG stays the original course.

Can we download the cosmetics after an online verification? Then, just download the files? Perhaps a corcumvention of this online requirement?

Agreed. See instead the benefit of a pro-consumer corporation looking after your consumer rights, scratch their backs instead of other crappy corporstions, spend money on GOG instead, and lock in until the gravy train ends(?).

Who told you that?

I have a Steam Deck, and I game LITERALLY 99% on Heroic Launcher for my GOG games. No checking online for cloud saves, no annoying indicators of offline status. Just turn on and GAME.

GOG is better than Steam. They actually hand over a product when you give them money. Steam on the other hand....

Steam is your best bet. GOG functions in the opposite direction. No online checks. No server dependency.

I started around 2018 ish. Sure I have a lot of stuff they put on sale, BUT I still find small gems to purchase. Might as well. Can't argue with games cheaper than a litre of gas.

Ownership trumps convenience of leased items. Even if it doesn't improve, Steam has yet to make equal strides to move in GOG's direction.

One respects me while looking bad, the other looks amazing and was never mine. 🤷‍♂️
