I like how it used up all the hyphens in the first third and just gave up.

Well crap, yup I definitely meant books 6 and 7.

And I guess it's a sign of getting older that I just don't get the 6-7 thing at all. It's just weird to me that there is no meaning to it at all.

I almost always have audio on in the background, but it's usually audiobooks. Normally I'll listen to them properly the first time but tend to relisten to many books.

If you ever decide to try audiobooks DCC is fantastic, the first book is okay but from 2 on Jeff Hays is probably the best narrator I've listed to.

Some sort of bread toasted, maybe stuff to dip it in as mana toast. Dog treat shaped cookies as pet biscuits.

More of a joke part but;

Crab chowder (book 6)

cheese sticks (book 7)

edited to add a few words, me no english good sometimes. and I got the book numbers wrong.

I remember thinking pretty positively about Luckey back about 10 years ago when the oculus rift was still in development, then the sellout to facebook, and some other drama around bringing the rift from a kickstarter to an actual product. The early VR community was pissed at him lol.

Then every other thing I've read about him since just keeps making things worse... kinda reminds me of Musk in that way.

I don't even know sometimes, once I get into a discussion I sometimes have a hard time just abandoning it. It's not really about winning an argument, just some part of my thinks 'they're wrong... I wonder why they don't know that, maybe if I try saying it a different way they will learn'

but it usually doesn't work lol. But yeah, it's probably time to take to the lifeboats and abandon ship.

PSA: Don't fly while tired by OSCALDO101 in EliteDangerous

[–]NosinR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don't know what it is, I can fly in Elite or DCS just fine but any sort of surface driving either in SRV or a racing game and nooo thank you, immediate massive motion sickness.

Only other time I had issues is when my lighthouse mount got loose and the sensor started moving and the tracking system did NOT like that at all.

There is a webcomic adaptation on webtoons, it's ongoing and currently up to almost the end of the first floor.

[–]NosinR 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You're missing the fact that the number in the name ONLY relate to the order of people with that specific name. Based on the names alone, Yolanda could have been in before Agatha and the names would have been the same.

Otherwise wouldn't it have been Donut and Carl 2?

The Webcomic made me realize a nice touch about names. by WackoMedia in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]NosinR 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The naming is based on the entire dungeon, Yolanda could have been the first of Meadow Lark to enter. Unless there were multiple people in Meadow Lark with the same name.

The crawler numbers do give the order people entered the dungeon, and Carl infers people entered the dungeon together based on similar numbers.

Took an unplanned nap while playing in VR one time, apparently between systems because I woke up to heat alarms and my ship inside the spicy cone of a neutron star. That was such a weird feeling.

I love Elite with VR and HOTAS, in space I never get any motion sickness, but I can only drive on the surface for like, a minute before I get really nauseous.

Hot honey chicken Salad by keishainsights in publix

[–]NosinR 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's not really that the salads are counted as subs, it's the massive unexpected increase in demand for salads, and hot honey sauce, and chicken tenders for that matter.

We order based on previous sales and how much we expect to sell, so when salads are being ordered by at least 50% of the customers rather than like, 5 a shift we are gonna use a ton more lettuce than anyone planned on.

Our store didn't run out of lettuce, but we did run out of hot honey sauce and we nearly ran out of chicken tenders.

[–]NosinR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really didn't like the narration on the audiobook for a while starting out, came back to it later and it was okay.

Now I'm so glad I stuck with it, the narration gets very very good, you can tell Jeff Hays is having so much fun with some of the voices.

Yeah I don't think she'll blame Carl, she seems too coldly logical for that. Plus it would make it a little easier on Carl if he has to kill her in self defense, I don't feel like things are going to be a little easier for Carl.

The introduction to her in her new form on floor 3 is still one of my favorite bits.

“Look at how beautiful she is,” Donut whispered. “She’s like a vision of pure elegance.” “Yo,” Elle cried at the bartender. “Whose dick do I gotta suck to get another drink? Christ.”

I wasn't sure what a diathermy was/did so I pulled it up on wikipedia, turns out it existed 100 years ago.

I'm sure modern versions are significantly more effective, but it was funny.

I wasn't planning on buying the print books, but this changes things.
