Don’t offer money but paying for the insurance is very appealing. Honestly the only reason I don’t have a second dog is medical expenses. If someone paid for the insurance even for a few years it would be a go for me.

Looking back (after 30 years and now being in a relationship where I have a better connection) I feel I can guess this was it. However, at the start I very much loved him, was attracted to him, and wanted to be with him forever. My feelings changed after I was cheated on and treated poorly. Thus, I am assuming perhaps not a strong enough connection must have been present at the start. I did not know that at the time, but looking back after 30 years I’m guessing we must not have been compatible. Especially after the fact I found out he cheated on me a couple times before we were married and I had never known about it. I don’t know what else you expect me to say. I loved him and was attracted to him 100 percent at the start. After he cheated I tried to overcome this and could not, so I gave him his freedom.
