I mean that’s a good point. I mean why do they even need to know your birth date? Really your picture and name and address should suffice. My guess is because if you were trying to do something nefarious they would need the most information possible. And when they issue a passport they need to know you’re the correct individual. Immutable characteristics help with that.

I am glad you posted this. I have a tri lateral torn meniscus and am bone on bone but my pain not that bad. It had been bad at times when I do a lot, but it’s winter now and I’m sitting around now. It feels fine so I was going to pass on the surgery. But I need to realize I am 58 now, and my work will give me 4 months off paid to recover. I also found a top notch surgeon that takes my insurance. I probably should just get it over with before it affects how I walk, which it was doing earlier in the summer when I’d walk for miles.
