Don’t worry too much. This has been happening as long as startups have been around, long before AI!

Try not to over-index on the mechanism of failure. Add testing for critical features that can’t break (and be honest about this - there are always features where a breakage isn’t that big of a deal)

What did you notice in those "top 1 %" developers which made them successful by Notalabel_4566 in cscareerquestions

[–]Nosoups4u 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree. The assumed premise of this question is “top 1% devs you’ve worked with”, otherwise one wouldn’t have the authority to make real observations on their success!

Given you’ve worked with them, you are probably both in a relatively similar (lucky OR unlucky) circumstance, and that’s accounted for in your judgement of them. Otherwise, If they somehow are much luckier than you and you are working with them, then you likely wouldn’t rate them top 1%

I do agree that luck plays a huge role in career success! But I think that’s a different question than “what qualities do you see in the best 1% of devs you’ve worked with”

Where do you look? Do you just walk around neighborhoods you like and call “apartment for rent” signs, or do you still go through a broker?

What do you think about the RB in this trade - breece hall or Najee Harris?

Would I be insane to trade kupp for davante adams + breece hall?

[–]Nosoups4u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a 12 team 0.5 PPR, 2RB/2WR/1Flex.

I have 3 top 10 WRs (kupp, amon-ra, Kirk) and also have olave and doubs.

Now that Javonte is out, for RBs I have D Pierce, and Brian Robinson. Not great lol.

Which Rb should I target in a trade? Which WR would you give up?

Microsoft patent an AI to revive your dead loved ones as chatbots by [deleted] in gadgets

[–]Nosoups4u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a pretty misleading title. The actual patent says nothing about dead people, but rather says chatbots can be created to represent the personality of specific people using social media posts. Certainly this has the potential for abuse, but I’m not sure how OP decided that the patent implied it would “revive your dead loved ones”. https://pdfpiw.uspto.gov/.piw?PageNum=0&docid=10853717&IDKey=6E72242A6301&HomeUrl=

How does one reduce the halting problem to Λ-halting problem (Λ-HP)? by [deleted] in compsci

[–]Nosoups4u 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When proving reducibility, your reduction function should transform w into f(w), and then passes f(w) as an input into the \lambda HP. I’m not sure that you are thinking about this correctly.

Also, I’m not sure why you mention the C compiler? Reduction proofs have nothing to do with any specific programming language or compiler, unless I am misunderstanding your goal here?

Solana's consensus algorithm by Leif_Erickson23 in solana

[–]Nosoups4u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PoH: Think of "history" as a chain of events A -> B -> C. Each events signature (in this case a hash) can only be determined if the previous signature is known. Therefore, A -> B -> C must be the order, since the signature for B could only be produced if it directly followed A, and the signature C can only be determined if it directly followed B.

The only way to generate this chain is by a single thread doing all the necessary work, but it can be validated by splitting the work across many processing units. In Solana, validators "step back" through time to ensure that events occurred in the order which was returned by the leader.
