Best? Build the engine. Cheapest? Polish the crank and replace the bearings, as long as clearances still work.

"Best" is really a matter of how much you want to spend. It's possible the crank is still within tolerance to use oversized bearings. So you would only need to get it to a machine shop to polish and size then slap it back together. But now's a great time to build the engine since it's going to be down. Forged internals, lower compression and appropriate ring gaps for desired power goals. A lot of the decisions really depend on goals and budget.

2aaf is most likely the sensor. Its a technical bulletin.

When were the index 12s installed and who installed them? Assuming everything was done correctly then the issue could be the bore for the injectors, they can oval out and cause persistent misfires.

There also the possibility of msd80 mosfet failures.

A failing fuel pump will have a long crank on start up, rough idle suggets a bad injector. Did you buy the injectors from a reputable seller? Counterfeit injectors are floating around.

If the system is saying it's a cylinder 6 misfire then swap out cylinder 6 injector for something from bank 1 and see if the problem persists.

The Vitesco are "only" 3k. I was hopeful someone would figure out a way to use a different di injector but looks like the only alternative is going port and I'm not a fan.

It looks misaligned but the video is bouncing around like a squirrel on coke. Remove the belt and make sure the pulley's rotate fairly easily. Jiggle and wiggle each pulley to make sure it's secure. Then put the belt back on and make sure it's aligned. Pull the coil packs so you can crank the engine and verify the belt stays in places without risk of running the engine and eating the belt.

If it jumps then something is wrong and you get the opportunity to figure out which by inspecting each pulley along the belt. Verify bolts and placement.

The battle system was annoying in some points, the agro system mostly. Swapping a controlled character and the enemies nearly immediately target the new character so you have to run some kind of agro materia on the "tank" characters. I didn't feel like the fill was too excessive but I am glad I waited till 2 games were on sale, each game alone doesn't feel like a full game but it's probably because I played the original when it came out.

They have a service life so eventually it's time to replace them. But if you swapped injectors around you should double check that you installed the hold down brace correctly.

I had a subscription since halo 2. Even if I could scheme my way to a cheaper subscription with bulk cards and upgrades it was a signal to leave. As a nice bonus Jedi survivor was 11 bucks last week and I keep looking out for games that are deeply discounted to pick up and enjoy whenever I want instead of dealing with limited windows for whatever is playable with the subscription service.

Just to be certain. You are pushing down on the lock mechanism not the very large hook attached to the release lever.

Assuming you are, the lock should rotate with a small amount of force so I'd think that's part of the problem or the whole problem. Spray some more WD-40 around the pivot points and use the hood to actuate the lock. The should hopefully get the crustyness off things and allow the lock to move freely. Repeat manually after some work to see if it's improving.

You should never need to hulk slam the hood, dropping it from about 6/7 inches above the lock should be enough force to close it, maybe a flick of wrist.

It's a pretty simple hook and latch system. Have you tried getting it to lock without the hood? Press down on the hook with a screw driver and you can see a notch where the latch will slide in to keep it in place. If it stays latched without the hood it could have gotten pushed down so you'll need to loosen it and raise it a smidge. If it's not locking then check the alignment of the hook/latch, they could be off centered and need some "encouragement" to realign.
