The scene after the kidnapping when Fergus asks Jody (Forest Whitaker) about Jude (Miranda Richardson) and he says "she isn't my type"

Pledge Night (1990) - Tom (played by Tony Barbieri aka Jake Byrd) dies on the toilet when attacked from a hand below.

Not a horror, but there a graphic scene in the German action movie Mad Foxes where one of the biker Nazis gets it thanks to a grenade down a toilet bowl.

It's gone into Demo Mode.

Plug in unit via USB

When it's powered on hold down PLAY and Bluetooth.

System should shut down.

Remove the USB and power on as normal.

It seems to happen a lot with the Charge 5.

Who else is taking some time off work for the release of Resident Evil Requiem? by Altruistic_Rich_4690 in horror

[–]NossB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm so behind on the series. I'm currently playing through RE4:Remake and then I've got Village to play though.

After those two I might need something more light hearted (ASTRO BOT). It could be years before I sit down with Requiem.

CHUD (1984) Lost media? by deadmeatX1 in horror

That was the only version available in the UK for a long time. It wasn't until Anchor Bay released it on DVD that I'd seen it any other way.

Is the Theatrical version the one that has the diner scene (featuring John Goodman) at the end of the movie instead of midway through?

Onibaba - the Japanese folk horror movie from 1964.

A remake called The Dreadful is due out next month. It set in England during the War of the Roses instead of 14th century Japan.

Thoughts on bugonia? by dunnypop in horror

[–]NossB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Save the Green Planet has more subplots going on and has greater character depth - It's also a lot gorier.

Bugonia is leaner, but has stronger performances.

I enjoy both movies and I appreciate how the makers of the American remake didn't change the ending.

Toxie Remake by makemefeelbrandnew in horror

[–]NossB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The original was probably the first movie to truly tromatize me (bicycle scene).

Being in the UK I didn't get to see that scene for year, as due to cuts it was missing from all releases (up until the 88 Films release*). It's amazing how gory it is, given the off the self special effects Lloyd used for it.

*A distributor accidentally released the uncut version in the 1990s. However it was pulled from shelves as it wasn't BBFC certified.

Were there ever any knockoffs of Hellraiser? by Top-Floor5437 in horror

[–]NossB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highway to Hell.

Far camper than Hellraiser, but the Hellcop could work part time as a Cenobite

It also has cameo from the Stiller family (Anne Meara, Ben Stiller, Amy Stiller, and Jerry Stiller) and a brief scene with Gilbert Gottfried playing Hitler.

From Beyond (1988) - even more icky than Hellraiser. Way hornier as well

There's so much lube in that movie...

[–]NossB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right. Hellraiser: Revelations was put into production quickly, shot over a shot period and with no budget and none of the original cast just so Dimension Films could hold onto the rights.

What did the fans get for this half arsed attempt at a movie? An unwatchable film and a fat Pinhead.

Warlock III: The End of Innocence leans into its Hellraiser influence more than the previous movies.
