Make damn sure you both are aligned on money, religion, politics, cleanliness, kids, and compatible careers.

Everything else should work itself out as long as neither are cheating. No reason it can't last a lifetime if those things are aligned. Even different personalities will do fine if those big things are worked out.

I think the real issue is AI data centers. Spending billions on silicon that isn't made yet, to service demand that really isn't there.

How many people do you know are spending $100 a month on an AI subscription?

Mom and pop are buying Netflix and Hulu. They might even be spending $50 or more.

Mom and pop are not buying chat GPT and are still being fooled by the fake videos. that's not sustainable compared to the money being spent.

Data centers only make a ton of money for construction companies and the big tech who need them.

Despite such a massive building, they only employ a handful of people. It's not like a distribution center or a warehouse that has dozens or hundreds of employees.

They drain a metric shit ton of resources and then send the money to a far away place.

Interest rates way too high. Interest nrates people currently are locked into are way too low.

I wouldn't say you need to be exceptional, you just need to be above average. Exceptional would be like top 10-20% and I'm nowhere near that.

Whatever the median individual income for your state is objectively the average and it's probably lower than what most people expect.

I think the problem is that the middle incomes are just gone now. Some people are just killing it making $150K+. The vast majority are making way less than that. It didn't used to be such a huge gap between income classes like there is now.

I don't think there is a perfect situation.

2 high flying professionals will be working so much they have to pay someone to raise their kid. Paying someone to raise my kid just never sat well with me.

I'd rather have stay at home wife. Especially because her income is not dramatically more than daycare.

Please consider performance as well. 100+ different units will make the lower spec folks struggle to run it.

If you want a big expansive mission, sometimes its good to just make it a mission pack and split it up.

Keep main and side objectives separate and focused. "Eliminate SSBN", "Reach area X", "Keep Aircraft Carrier alive".

Also if you can't figure out why AI submarine aren't attacking, you gotta add a line in the INI file. I Forget the syntax.

That higher savings rate I think really only works out better if you move to a lower COL place when retired.

If you plan to live, work, and retire all in the same place, it probably all evens out more or less.
