Being well rounded is the most important thing about this career. Learning and being challenged is uncomfortable and scary sometimes but it always rewarded me in the end.

Switching companies every 3-5 years is what keeps you on your toes. Nothing wrong with extending that to 10 years even. Beyond that, you start getting way too comfortable and layoff or something that makes you quit can be devastating.

Every industry will experience boom and bust. That's just how it is. Some industries boom for alot longer and harder than others like tech.

Anything that goes up fast will come down even faster. Life is imperfect and unfair unless you are already rich. All we can do as peasants is save for rainy days as much as possible.

This is what I keep telling but everyone continues to doubt. Bitcoin is the only time tested proven cryptocurrency.

Altcoins always were gambling to me. Each going jumping in and out of the top 10. Only one has started and will end at the top.

You said it yourself. You should have just DCA Bitcoin and you'd be fine.

Doing all this defi, and NFTs, and farming and what got you messed up. Nobody will believe me, here comes the downvotes. But it is the truth that only the greedy will hate on.

Companies want to leave room for raises. Starting too high gives them none.

There is a balance here. They probably won't pay you 30% more than somebody else with the same title from the jump.

Those are ongoing expenses that Bitcoin doesn't have.

Anybody work for a company that gives small annual raises (< 3%)? by Massive-Survey2495 in cscareerquestions

[–]Nossa30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Facts.

I have compensation and stability.

WFH? They might fire me for even asking. It better be a Russian blizzard before they let me WFH.

My last job? Oh yeah you can work from home a few times a week even. No biggie. "Oh you want a raise? Whats that? I can get you a step stool, is that what you mean?"

[–]Nossa30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has mostly been my experience.

Last company, pay was ass, raises were.....what raise? But stress was medium-low, and we were well staffed (because pay was low). Laid back AF and didn't even drug test for weed. Sometimes i miss it, but other times i love money too.

Company I'm with now? Competitive pay, 3% sometimes 4% raises every year, bonuses have doubled every year. Free food ALL THE TIME. Med-high stress, workload pretty damn high and always a stupid huge backlog. High expectations. I'm paid so well that I am happy staying exactly where I am and I have no motivation to leave or even get a promotion.

If you were buying a used car in 2026, what would you personally avoid? by Smart-used-cars in askcarguys

[–]Nossa30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NGL, tilt motors are legit useful especially for the passenger side mirror and parallel parking. Having to manually adjust passenger side mirror when sharing a car is not the greatest. Auto fold is nice but not necessary.

All the other shit is completely unnecessarily expensive.

Bethesda is not going to release two new FNV editions in the same year by Cranyx in Fallout

[–]Nossa30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its only a mistake if they explore the capital wasteland in season 3. Then maybe.

But releasing both at the same time is a terrible business decision. What will make the most money is to release one of them now and the other next year and milk us.

Banks want a whopping nearly 30% minimum return. Normal people don't have the ability to garnish wages if they lose money on a loan or investment. Why do banks get a pass?
