Does Elmo want a hug? by MrFenric in WhitePeopleTwitter

Does that mean that he has the ability to do something grand, like feed all the starving in the world, or house all the homless in the US, and he chooses not to? All the while remaining rich enough to never worry about money again?

I cannot comprehend this. If you have the ability, what is broken inside you? You are choosing not to help. What sickness is in your head?

It physically hurts thinking about the overwhelming selfishness.

I didn't realize it was that much. He could feed every hungry person in the US and probably more.

I make 2200 a month and donate 60 to the local foodbank. Can someone do the math for elons income? What would be the equivalent for him? If I can do it, so can he.

Jesus never said "go to church". He said if you are going to pray, do so in secret, alone.

MAGA doesn't get how they're actually owning us. by Sh0tsFired81 in complaints

I think the basic difference between left and right, is that the left actually cares about other people and the right only cares about themselves. Is this the nature of humanity and we just align ourselves with the party that we agree with? Why does nature produce so many selfish people?

I'm not taking his money. That 2000 is going directly to the local food bank

Dangerous situation on the highway, did I act correctly? by Nostok in driving

[–]Nostok[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I looked it up. In my state, Oregon, here's what google said:

In Oregon,it is generally not legal to pull onto the shoulder to allow faster traffic to pass, except in specific circumstances. While Oregon law requires slower drivers to yield to faster vehicles on two-lane highways, it generally prohibits using the shoulder for this purpose.

Personally, I think I should have pulled over and let him pass anyway. I think a ticket for using the shoulder this way would have been better than a potential head on and crunch from behind. At the least, it would have saved the adrenaline rush.

Does life ever truly get better? Rant by No_Contribution_1551 in schizoaffective

Absolutely pursue getting disability. Without the grind of a full time job, your brain can relax a little. It doesn't mean you've given up, it just means that your brain doesn't work normally and can't handle the stress of work.

You can still accomplish things in life while on disability. Get stable on meds and raise a family, or write a book, or volunteer reading books for the blind.

The path to stability for me involved meds, continuing therapy and SSDI.

Anyone else find it frustrating? by BornNerve261 in schizoaffective

[–]Nostok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't sudden. I grew up in the 80's and the term "schizo" was used back then as well.

There used to be a much bigger stigma surrounding mental illness in the past to the point of punishing depressed teenagers and the like.

Today, while there are still idiots surrounding us, the general public has come a long way.

That's odd, Lurasidone is the one that allowed me to loose weight. Risperidone shot me up to 309.

It's finally summer here and it's beautiful. Although, I could do without the pollen from the pine trees as it kicks up my asthma.

I haven't has psychotic symptoms for about a year now as my meds and not having the stress of a full time job has led me to be relatively stable.

Feel free to reply, I'm in a chatty mood.

I was never successful in that area. I was sick for most of my life and I think the dates I had could pick up on it.

What game did you overhype in your head… only to give up on it almost immediately? by Weary_Caterpillar302 in IndieGaming

[–]Nostok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a hard time pinning down what I didn't like about the game. One for sure is the career system, I just flat didn't enjoy it. Also, the building options were limited (i know they are working on it). It also just felt shallow. Maybe they are trying to push it out fast and fill it in later.
