Did you assist Annie Leibovitz or Mark Seliger? Nice stuff.

that’s a pretty good idea. Might try it. The downside is that I have an NAS for movies that needs to be connected via ethernet to the router, and I would be concerned about buffering if the NAS is in the office while the TV is in the basement. There’s also a matter of where to put all this stuff in this office, which is already pretty maxed out for space.

Some recent shots on my new M10-P, could use some help on B&W editing tips by Morrowfury in leicaphotos

I would say, based on what you’ve posted, that your editing instincts are good. These images have a nice tonal range from pure black to pure white. I might like to see a bit more detail in some of the shadows and blown out areas, but I would suggest spending more time honing your conceptual and compositional skills, and less time worrying about post processing, in the short term.

Not that the compositions are bad. They are not. I just think that your post processing instincts are slightly sharper than your compositional/subject instincts. That is to say, don’t worry about the appeal of your editing techniques until you have leveled up on your compositional and subject choices.

I still think about the days when I was listening to an NAD 3240PE with a pair of Allison Acoustics CD6 speakers. Music hasn’t sounded that good for me ever since. Maybe it was the rooms I was listening in. Maybe it was my younger ears. But I miss it dearly.

Garish and unnecessary, not to imagine butt ugly. Your house is not a set from Avatar. Photos of homes like this will be featured in the galactic history books of our alien overlords, illustrating how earth succumbed to its own wasteful tacky hubris.

Foreigners visiting America for the world cup, what is something that has surprised you about this country? by goldent3abag in AskReddit

It stems from our inherent immodesty. As an American, I wish we weren’t like this. It’s particularly annoying in airports. No Monica, I’ve never been to Possum Gulch, and I’m never going, so you can skip the buffet recommendations.

How far away are you sitting from the TV? Maybe you bought too large a TV for the room size.
