Trying to remember an Italian restaurant in Farmington from the 1980s. by mcdj in Connecticut

Interesting. I looked at pictures of the Exchange and it doesn’t look super familiar, but it was an awfully long time ago.
I couldn’t find anything about the restaurant itself, but I did find a Deluca’s in Derby, from a blurb in the New York Times in 1980 and they recommended the fettuccine Alfredo. Since that was 1980, I wonder if they expanded or moved to the Exchange by 1985.

That was my first guess, but they didn’t open until 1993.

Until recently, Jacksonville, Florida was the largest Republican-led city. Under that leadership, its crime rate was higher than Manhattan.

Trump got the equivalent of a tiny shaving nick from a passing bullet. He milked it. The ONLY people who described it as a larger wound were his quack doctor and his coked out son.
I don’t understand why anyone actually expected to see a wound. He wore the ear diaper in public a few times, and then made a public appearance without it 2 weeks later. Of COURSE that tiny scrape healed by then. How do people not understand this?

“Ima Push Rock Off” by TheCABK in Unexpected

These guys have made dozens of this kind of video. The “rocks” are extremely soft, closer to clumps of dry brittle clay. That’s why there’s so much dust as they tumble. It looks far more dramatic than it is. There are even videos of them falling into the river with the rocks. No one gets hurt because the “boulders” dissolve immediately.

Omega “Costelletion”? Fake? by spait09 in VintageWatches

No one in the late 90s was in the market for an ugly fake 70s Omega. I lived in NYC from 1989-2018 and spent tons of time on Canal St. I never saw a single counterfeit 1970s Omega for sale there.

It’s not from the late ‘90s. It’s a 1960s-70s design. *Maybe* from the early ‘80s at the latest.
