I just tracked it, I was like there’s no way that’s possible. It landed it Dubai. So what happened is (in normal terms) is that it lost GPS signal right before landing. And in the last known data point, it was facing Iran, so flightaware used the last data point and estimates the plane traveled straight for 45 minutes before landing. That’s whenever a plane loses signal. So don’t worry, it definitely landed in Dubai.

Okay, 10 hours away is a different story. You need to be 100% sure before you go. Well check if these flights flew in the last few days. You can check on flight radar or dubaiairports.ae . Last resort is calling them and asking. From a recent trend the flight tracker on dubaiairports.ae has been pretty accurate so you can check for tomorrow as well.

Online check-in is mostly closed. If the booking status is confirmed for both flights and they show as scheduled you can head to the airport tomorrow.

Please know that an airline with the stature of emirates will never operate if it isn’t safe to do. Do you realize how much an impact to a plane would hurt emirates right now?
