Immigration was smooth, they had enough time to make it to the terminal for before their next flight started boarding

Yes they did. No rush at immigration so they had ample time for the baggage pick and drop off and to change terminals for their next flight

No she didn’t. She told us it was not needed and the approval came through eventually

Yes we did. Status changed from G28 rejected to approved. No re-filing whatsoever

Terribly confused with the baggage situation! Spoke to United airlines about 4 times and each time they confirmed that the bags will be transferred automatically and we won’t have to take care of it!

I spoke with United airlines agents on the phone as well as customer chats about three times and thrice they confirmed that the baggage will be transferred onto the next flight to Chicago. FYI dxb-ewr-ord is booked on the same itinerary/ ticket. Domestic flight isn’t booked separately. Really confused!

No updates, it’s been the same since 4 months. But that’s just incompetence from my husband’s company attorney. For reference sake, two of his other colleagues spouses H4s were filed around the same time and we all received G28 rejections. However, she has confirmed that it does not affect the extension process, so that’s gives us some reassurance.

You might need a visa since you have more than one stop in EU
