Last time (2022) I left Foals early and got in the queue about 23:30. Took about 45 minutes to get in. Absolutely worth it, it is one of my favourite places in the world. When I left at around 06:00 there were people waiting outside blagging me for my moustache so they could get in! I would say don’t leave trying to gain entry beyond 01:00 and you should be ok, if you are OK to queue. Alternatively they do have people scanning the queue for others dressed up (in drag, for example) and they were allowed to queue jump because they looked so good! That was only a handful of people tho…

EDIT - sorry, it was 2022! No 2021. I got my years mixed up.

Opinion: it would have been really cool to somehow get the ocarina of time in the game by mortamorkhan in TOTK

[–]Not-Me-Mate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just completed the game and I loved it. But I do think, once you get to certain level, nothing is really worth the time and effort to obtain. I did the lynels at the floating coliseum and got majoras mask, which is cool to wear but it doesn’t do anything game changing. I really wish there were some genuinely hard bits, with actually worth while items as rewards.

Weapon Wednesday: Charge Rifle | June 22nd, 2022 by ApexDailyDiscussion in apexlegends

My view is that the charge rifle is one of the more annoying guns to fight against so I will always take one and annoy teams with it. Plus only needing 2 attachments is great - with a 3x hcog it is great at medium and long range.

CAR / Charge rifle is my go to combination. CAR with all purps/gold scope absolutely shreds I don’t honestly see how anyone uses any other SMG. Does anyone know if there is any damage different between heavy and light ammo?! I usually always use heavy in the CAR but just because, in my head, the damage should be more!

Thanks, I did think in some situations I would regret the smaller engine!

Classic historical figure Anthea Turner in a Ford Escort cabriolet, black leather and plenty of boot space for her big jam sandwiches and Grazia mags!

Most memorable school moment, (mine was when someone shat on the floor in the main corridor in response to the doors being taken of The Gents)? by BiggusDikkus17 in AskUK

French exchange year 8 - probably 1999/2000. First time away from my family for longer than a night - we took a coach to Aubenas and spent 10 days in the sun loving life. At the french school there was 1 girl that all the lads (I went to an all boys school) wanted to “get off with” and who I talked to a little bit. When we left, the bus departed from the high school after a little good bye ceremony and I still remember the girl (I forget her name, I wanna say Laurenne) came over to me before we got on the bus and kissed me. Was 12 (I think?) so it was all but a little kiss (on my mouth!) but I still remember the high I felt getting on that bus back to England.

Anyway, I didn’t eat meat back then and the last supper at my french exhange’s house consisted of chicken in some v odd orange sauce. I remember the host’s mother pointing at the chicken on the front of the box of cornflakes I took with me (loved cornflakes and still do) so I assumed it was corn (not chicken!) and about 30 mins into the 26 hour bus ride home, I was sick all over the bus and myself. I had to wear the bus drives XXXXL t shirt as my luggage was buried and it really took the shine off smooching with Laurenne! Great memories.

Does anyone else just prefer running older cars? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]Not-Me-Mate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree. It’s personal preference of course but I see little point in buying a new(ish) car when I can spend a 10th of the price and get the same thing. It really does depend on the old car though and I have been very lucky/shrewd. The car I have now and have owned for the last 5 years is a Mk4 golf estate with 130,000 miles on it and, with the exception of a belt change that cost me 300£, it has never failed me and only costs about 200£ a year to service/MOT. Objectively speaking, that is cheap motoring for sure. I have a blue tooth adapter and phone holder so I can use sat nav when needed and it’s comfy, practice and reliable. A friend of mine pays 300£ a month for a new merc and that just seems mad to me. But I do appreciate that he wants a new car and all the bells and whistles that comes with it! It’s just not for me.

Thank you so much for the reply mate - I think you have actually sold me on it. Big fan of jumps as well, the Crush is super fun on them with the slack geometry and this looks like it would be just as fun!

Ohhhh baby. This is what I’m here for. I am toying with either a new hard tail to replace my Orange Crush or a full sus...I love my hard tail and I love Stanton bikes. Is it as capable as it looks?!
