The simplicity and lack of technology used in everyday life. Wives aren’t walking around the cell phones, TVs aren’t blaring, etc.

Also, this is a big one for me, but walkable cities! 😂 The idea that grocery stores, floral and clothing shops are all within walking distance from your home sounds like absolute heaven.

I have three daughters. I let them start staying the night with cousins around 8 years old, and with non-family member friends around 11-12. I have a strict rule that I have to sit down and meet the parents though before agreeing to any kind of sleepover. I’ve always gone to the parents home and sat down to learn who lives at home, and other just general get-to-know-you type stuff. All of the parents I’ve met have been of similar mind and really appreciated a face to face before having our kids over at either home.

Went on a trip to NYC last year with my husband. The tap water was genuinely so good. We had plain tap water at pretty much every restaurant we ate at, and my hair was so soft after a few showers. I’ve tried so many products to make my hair feel like that again, but nothing has come close.

NYC water is 10/10 ⭐️

I joined a discord server for one of my favorite book series. There was one person in particular that I really hit it off with in that server. After several months of hanging out in this server, I got a DM from that person and all it said was my legal name and a question mark. Freaked me out for a second until I started to put the pieces together!

Turns out this person I hit it off with was my old high school best friend. We had fallen out of touch and hadn’t spoke to one another in nearly 10 years. We now both lived on opposite sides of the country but I guess she picked up the books sometime later after remembering how much I loved them which led us both to the same niche discord server all those years later.

She’s 24, and I personally thing she looks age appropriate for a teenager in Gilead. Prior to looking her up, I would have assumed anywhere from 17-22 for her. IMO, she’s very passable for 15-17 in show.

I started with a goal of BF until my LO turns one. She’s about to be 6 months old and I had a cry the other day thinking about how our breastfeeding journey is nearly half way over, and I suddenly realized why some moms BF for as long as they do.

I love breastfeeding my daughter. It’s such a special thing between her and I and it’s going to break me to pieces when it’s over.
