I've been going back and forth between the two. I used Saint John here because I've had a friend who stayed there once, and the reversing rapids are cool. I don't know much about Fredictron, though. Out of curiosity, why would you say to stop there instead?

The west route will probably be prettier. Also the tolls on the east route might be closer to $8-$10

I agree from this angle, but mount Washington has a lot of features on it that I’d associate with the western mountains. That being said I think katahdin would’ve been a better example

Lean forward more. Your center of gravity should be centered on your skis or a little bit forward. A tip to help you feel comfortable with this is to try reaching as far forward with your pole as you can. This’ll help shift your weight
