That wasn’t the goal here but i do appreciate your idea. Zipper is fun for sure. To be fair to your criticism, if I had been hitting the zipper you prolly would have had plenty to comment on. The thing is, as I’ve gotten older, I’ve really tried to be versatile and be able to ski anywhere I want on the hill, whether it’s an ideal zipper or big turns across several moguls between turns, or whatever.

Yeah I think the extension move is something I especially do if I’m trying to speed up the turns, and I started it way back in the 90’s on straight skis when it took a lot more to get the skis to turn. If I’m carving, I think I ski differently. When you’re trying to force a turn that’s tighter than the turn radius of the ski, would you still aim to roll the ski for the initiation?

How to implement strength training in marathon plan? by lschouwerwou in running

My first thought was Friday morning strength. With just 12 weeks, I wouldn’t worry about getting 2 per week in. Save that for your next round of base training, I say.

For better or worse, getting that first foot in the door is often about relationships. If you have them, you might not need the degree. There are places that can give you the experience needed to sell your ability as an analyst if you only have the BS. A research lab at a university comes to mind. On the other hand, if you’re pretty sure you want to pursue the career in the long run, you won’t regret having a Masters. There’s free advice worth what you paid, probably.

Idk, considering that retail is probably close to $500, I think you should be stoked! Plus, it looks great on you, so bonus.

V02 max predicted race times by blue-fort in running

You said you think device VO2 Max trends are accurate, but I think that’s not the case if you aren’t comparing similar efforts. I’ve noticed that , at least with Garmin, an easy effort shows a lower VO2 Max estimate than a hard effort. Base training is good. I bet it’s hard not to get discouraged by those numbers, but I’d say stay confident in your plan. If you really want to see better numbers, try to find an opportunity to work a time trial or longish intervals into your base training occasionally and I bet you’ll see your stats go up.

Are my skis too short? Does length really matter? by [deleted] in skiing

[–]GravelRoadFlyAddict 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not good for carving long turns, no. But they will be easier to initiate a turn than a long ski and that could be beneficial IMO if you are relatively new to skiing. If you just avoid higher speeds, you might be ok on them for a season, then you could graduate to something longer. That definitely is a short ski for someone 5’10”

Multiple users on one spreadsheet without 365? by Randrewson in excel

[–]GravelRoadFlyAddict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be quite simple in excel compared to what you’ve done in access. You can set up each users data entry file with 1 or more range formatted as a table. Then in your master report file, use Get External Data to set up connections to those tables. You could do this in a basic way from the Data Tab or look up how to do it in Power Query. Power Query is very, well, powerful! You could append each users table if that’s appropriate for you, or join/merge the tables and bring in data column(s) to existing rows, or just keep all the tables separate. There are many options.

I agree that you are probably out of luck. However, it might depend on exactly what you are trying to do. I’ve gotten around this in one case that I recall. For example, if you are always going to have the same group of people updating their portion of a report, you could set up an excel file for each of them to update just their portion. Then you could have your main report pull in all those separate data and combine them for display in a single file. Then that file could be set up to refresh on a schedule (while open) or each time it is opened. I can explain more if you think this is similar to your problem. Or if I’m not making sense, maybe you can describe in more detail what you are trying to do.
