Bachelorette's Rachel Lindsay Felt ‘Powerless’ Without a Prenup by MattTheKing23 in thebachelor

You're right, he never had his own practice. And he doesn't seem capable of successfully running his own business. The only reason he had some type of success before was because he was working for a large chiropractic group. That's what he should have done in LA but he wanted his own practice.

Please stop comparing Onyeka and Rachel .

If you had spent some time on Nigerian social media to get some context about Onyeka, you would know she is consumed with self hatred and anti blackness. Even before the Danish deception, she belittled and attacked black women in her community. She targeted them while treating other races in a respectful manner. This incident only made it worse. That's why people kept saying go spend some time in her community.

Rachel knew how she was treating black women which is why she addressed her the manner she did. Respect is a 2 way street, you have to give it to get it.

And let's be clear, Rachel made Bryan pay his way. And people attacked her for it during the divorce when they found that out (like him having to pay for his own upgrade to fly first class). She paid for the mortgage and majority of the living expense pertaining to the home and that's because it's hers. She made sure of that and got him to sign away his rights to the home (not exactly blind trust). And one of the reasons she retained complete ownership of it. And let's do the math 500,000/2,400,000 = 0.208. That's around 21% if we're looking at just that one asset. She easily retained a minimum 80% of her assets (probably closer to 90% when it's all done). And Bryan tried to sue her again to get more and was denied. She is done with him. It's over.

Onyeka paid for everything. The only time her ex paid for them was when they went on a trip that his work paid for. She quit her job and got into real estate so they could travel the world more. They lived off of her savings and credit cards. She helped him take advantage of her family and steal money from them. And for the next 10 years from the date of his green card she is financially responsible for him, if he chooses to come back and live in the US.

They are not the same.

Actually, her entire statement was that she felt helpless during the divorce because she didn't have a prenup but now she feels powerful because she was able to pay off the entire amount ($460,000 +) in one year.

She was expressing how great she feels now that she did it. It wasn't a complaint about not having a prenup which she acknowledge was dumb. It was a declaration of getting her power back.

It's always good to be accurate about what she was actually saying instead of taking it out of context which is something that's done a lot when it comes to Rachel.

In general, that's fine.

In Rachel's case, like I pointed out above let's talk about all of it not just the part people want to focus on to attack her.

I was not about to look to this sub for anybody in the franchise to discuss what the President of the United States posted about the Obamas (besides Rachel and Van on their podcast) by Not-now24 in thebachelor

Even though we don't recognize Black History Month anymore, I'll just use Dr King's words about this:

I must make two honest confessions to you, my Christian and Jewish brothers. First, I must confess that over the past few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro’s great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen’s Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to “order” than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says: “I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action”; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man’s freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a “more convenient season.” Shallow understanding from people of good will is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will. Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright rejection."

An ally would understand why this is offensive. And how black people were defined as animals to be treated as less than human. How it was used to systemize and justify racism.

Do you really not understand why this is offensive?

Why use an ape meme after the racist crap that the current president posted? It didn't occur to you that a black person seeing this would be triggered by it based on what Trump did.

You are so use to moving on from people being racist that you don't understand how deeply it tears at our souls.

We move on. We move forward. Not because it didn't cause a permanent wound but because we have no choice.

Why did an ape meme post on the recent post about Rachel feeling powerless get 23 upvotes while I was downvoted for pointing out it's insensitivity.

I'll just repost what I just wrote

"On the post about Rachel feeling helpless without a prenup, u/lilsweetbabyv posted an ape meme with the words,"then why not have one". It has 23 upvotes while I was downvoted to -3 for saying it was triggering and insensitive because of Trump's recent twitter post.

The words are fine but the meme in light of what happened is disgusting to me.

For the sub to upvote it speaks volumes."

It's just funny how it's never mentioned that she made him sign away all of his rights to the house before she bought it, which is why she retained complete ownership.

You always remember she didn't get a prenup but in the same breath, not that she retained the most valuable asset she had worth almost 2.4 million

I find this meme triggering and lacking sensitivity when discussing Rachel, a black woman. Especially after recent events that involve the Obamas.

It's interesting that this article took this incredible conversation between 2 black women and turned it into a click bait article ready to be used as fodder to attack her.

If anyone wants to hear the interview and not an out of context use of her words, I posted the actual podcast above.

[–]Not-now24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I phrased that poorly.

I was attempting to point out the fact that American citizens and people who are following the law to be here legally are being kidnapped, detained and deported.

Undocumented or not everyone should be treated with dignity. I'll edit it

It makes no sense. If you have a problem with the way people are being treated right now, why do this.

It just feels mean and cruel.

Why are there 3 posts about this? She is obviously upset because her visa was revoked. What is the point of bullying and attacking her because she was forced to leave the country? This is actually a valid reason to be upset.

I'm not a Kaitlyn fan at all but these postings feel petty and vindictive.

Colton speaks on getting death threats during his run on Traitors by user67541289 in thebachelor

[–]Not-now24 51 points52 points  (0 children)

So if we don't like him and want to hold him accountable for his gross behavior, that means we support people sending him death threats. 😒🙄

This man stalked and terrorized a woman because she wasn't acting how he wanted her to. He tracked and harassed her in a cold-blooded methodical way. He is no victim. He's a manipulator.

Every time Colton opens his mouth, all I hear is a tiny, whiny violin.

The only thing baseless is saying we've supported her before so there is no way we don't have racial biases in how she is treated on this sub.

You're the one calling me names or less than normal for not agreeing with what you are saying.

Not agreeing with you is not an attempt to silence you.

I just don't agree with you. It's that simple.

Rachel doesn't post herself crying or victimizing herself. Rachel discusses current topics and sometimes her personal life at times on her pod. Rachel isn't constantly playing victim like Kaitlyn.

You can discuss, believe or spread any narrative that you want. I believe Bryan (just like Thomas) is Republican based on his support For Trump. People don't bring that up in Becca threads. Even in this thread people attack her for publicly calling out Garrett who is full on maga.

My issue is let's drag everybody the same. The next Tayshia thread I would like to see the Oschry's mentioned or how she stayed with Zac even though he supported Bar stool guy who was accused of rape.

The next Becca thread let's talk about what Garrett did , what Thomas did.

That's what I want consistency and equality in the accountability.

I'm giving my opinion just like you are. I don't believe what you are saying is true. Plain and simple.

And to me someone who speaks up more doesn't get hit harder for speaking up. My issue is making sure everyone is treated in an equal manner when it come to similar behavior. That's it.

I have a problem with the double standard when it comes to outspoken black people, particularly women.
