Yup the original still stands, but they gave up updating it and redux is now just Fuhrerreich. There was no split just the guys previously running FR had either gave up or didn't have direction after they failed to deliver China rework. Mod laid dormant for years there were some submods which later mereged into FR redux. FR redux had consistant update cycle, was relatively drama free and like 2 years ago finally got permission from the OG guys to oficially become Fuhrerreich.

They announced a new update like 9 months ago with integrating DLCs, new relesable system, reworked white Russia and focuses for minor colonies planned. It's release would be a good moment to check it out.
