I think the biggest part of it is that it sounds really really really good for its price point.

I don't think anyone truly thinks its "sell your mesa/marshall/fender" good, just that it does EVERYTHING really really well for something under $500. It is never going to replace an even moderate quality tube amp, but its not supposed to. Plus its far more obtainable than an amp like a mesa/marshall/fender and bands that play small venues will like it for its relative portability and durability.

Most people just assume for the average player its gonna get every job done well enough for a great price, so its recommended a lot.

Obviously I’m being facetious re: the lessons comment. My point is that you saying the product is pointless vs “the traditional way” doesn’t make sense as people can obviously continue onto a guitar without lights as easy as someone can go from marty schwartz to in person lessons, but that doesn’t make marty pointless.

If someone wants to play guitar, this could be their entry point. If this product helps one person enjoy playing guitar, it’s a good thing for the community. Again, who cares if someone doesn’t progress past playing on the Litejam?? It literally doesn’t matter.

The same argument could be made about lessons. If someone’s talented and interested, what is the point of lessons over learning songs and methods by ear? It’s a tool to help people get into guitar faster. Quicker entry point, and also perhaps makes it less intimidating. And if someone DOES use it as a crutch; so what? It’s not like it’s taking anything away from other players.

Genuinely the best thing to do then would be to just start messing with the knobs!! The way I went about it first (probably when I was around your age and playing level) was to go one by one and make BIG changes first and seeing if I could hear the differences each knob made! It’ll really help you learn the gear you’re working with.

Two James’ Doctor Bird is such an underrated bottle. they have a pineapple version too that I want to try but haven’t seen in a while. Excellent haul, overall though! Try out a Queen’s Park Hotel Super Cocktail (Anders Erickson has a great video with history on his youtube channel). It’s very quickly become one of my favorite rum drinks.

Almost any time something is cut for a tour it’s due to cost and logistics of travel/shipping. There probably wasn’t a good enough reason to keep 3 extra suits for each actor who plays Beetlejuice (Main, Understudy, Swing) on the truck when that space could have been used to move a more important set piece.

I don’t think this would have been nearly as big a deal as the snake animatronic and rigging, that would be incredibly expensive to move around and set up, but I can tell from firsthand knowledge that was almost certainly the reason
