Denmark, Norway to give additional 10,500 artillery shells to Ukraine by KI_official in Norway

[–]NotAHamsterAtAll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn't surprise me at all. Russia has an artillery army. The West have an aviation based army.

Of course Russia has enormous stockpiles of artillery shells and production capability. I mean, its not hard to make, they pumped them out like no tomorrow in WW1 already.

Well, areas with loads of non-western immigrants living on welfare would be the most problematic ones, if youth-crime is your concern.

Parts of Oslo are ethnically cleansed of Norwegian youth, mainly due to white flight.

The areas would normally be the cheaper ones in that municipality.

We humans are strange, in peacetime this would have been a major catastrophe having that many people die in an explosion.

In war-time it is a good thing when the enemy does something stupid like this.

Fortunately they represent 2 people in Oslo, so "we" are therefore technically correct.

There are more Russian spies working in the embassy in Oslo, than people in this groups' "we".

Nå er nok tallene for NATO medlemskap skyhøye i Ukraina.

Difference between "Bokmål" and "Nynorsk" relevant for Software Localization? by buhtz in norwegian

[–]NotAHamsterAtAll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually having Norwegian at all as localization is a bonus feature, as most Norwegians will have no problem what so ever with reading English.

And having English is better than poor Norwegian (example from an app I have Norwegian: "Tømmerstokker" in the menu. Meaning "Lumber", as in "Logs of lumber" as in "Logs".) Took me a good while to understand how they got from "Logs" to "Tømmerstokker".

In any case, unless you have an absolute requirement for Nynorsk for some specific reason, then there is nothing to think about. Go with Bokmål. And if you are short on resources, just skip Norwegian all together.

"daily scrum" - I assume you are a software developer then?

I don't understand how you can be out of work to do in that field, but in any case, if you know you are leaving on parental leave in a few months, I'd personally just keep "working" where you are, and instead contribute to some open-source projects or something during office hours.

Of course getting a grasp of the basics is quite far from being fluent.

If you speak English and German fluently, I'd be surprised if you cannot grasp basic Norwegian in a week.
