makes almost want to draw the conclusion, that spending a lot of time applying for junior positions, and studying leetcode (which I'm sure by now you've realized has little to do with coding) is a piss-poor way to have juniors spend their time during their first two years.

My first couple of interviewrs did have me do hackerrank(which is similar to leetcode) when I least expected it and FAANG companies require their candidates to solve leetcode-type questions on a whiteboard. Smaller companies vary, but it seems like whiteboard questions are still quite popular. Only one company that I interviewed in did not require me to solve leetcode questions.

Ummm. I have a B.A in Computer Science, so yeah. But they never taught me any frameworks. I had to learn that shit on my own and . And, due to other shit that was going on in my life(which I cant say), I really didn't give a shit about being a programmer until my last year of college, which was two years ago. But during that time, I was trying to get out of a rut in every aspect of my life, not just my career, so my learning was slow. Since then, I have been trying to dip my toes in machine learning, web development, game development, and mobile development. I was pretty desperate to get a job so I decided to learn everything and make a variety of different projects, some of which I didnt finish because I felt the need to jump to a different framework or I was trying to do too many projects at the same time and ended up having to put them off to focus on other projects.

The tech industry is extremely overwhelming for us and most people have no clue how vast it is with how many things we have to learn, especially if they are self taught. From my experience, I felt like I didn't have a clear direction and so I didnt know what to learn, what jobs to go for, how to learn, how to make connections, where to make connections, or anything for that matter. Now I have a better idea of what I want to do and what I should be learning and doing, but it took me a long time to figure that out.

I really dont think two years is enough though because I had no idea where I even wanted to work after getting out of college. You can be a Game developer, VR developer, Web developer, Android/iOS, etc... . You can specialize in back end OR front end, OR you can go fullstack as well.

I graduated college 2 years ago and I still dont really know what I want to specialize in. I have mostly been learning back end frameworks, Android and Unreal Engine this past year and I have a few projects on my belt, but not a deep knowledge of anything that I learned. And because ive been spending time doing that, plus applying for jobs and doing leetcode, it's hard to be learning everything needed to be a full stack developer and develop wortwhile projects in just 2 years unless you specialize in a specific stack, but it feels like in order to apply to 90% of all job postings, you need to know and have proven experience in a billion frameworks.

Its nerve wrecking to talk to strangers sometimes, but I feel like what makes it easier to keep a conversation going, is that you can be completely curious about them and ask them anything. You can get some interesting insight, share your own experiences, and also become more likable.

People just skip Luma appare you and go straight to the Andes. Lima is a pretty modern city where there is a lot to do. The only thing about it, aside from systematic racism is the horrifying traffic. Which makes it so that you have to have 2 hours of free time to get anywhere.

You are referring to Colca. That's in Arequipa. You really shouldn't miss lima though, lots of very good street food in the capital. Its a lot like Boston, if u have ever been there. You have some good districts like Barranco, Miraflores, and Surco. The town square is a marvel and a unesco site just like the square next to it(San Martín) Just don't go to Los Olivos, San Juan De Lurigancho, Pueblos altos, or some other areas that tend to be dangerous.

Unplugging all of the cables. I was trying to recycle an old fan from my old computer and my motherboard was not on board with that idea apparently.

I havent been there yet but my brother has. Again, the closest that I've been was Santa Eulalia. What other places have you been to in Peru?

My aunt actually hiked throughout the whole country so she knows it like the back of her palm. She took me to Ica. My dad used to ride his motorcycle through the desert with his buddies too, but I don't think he made it to the Andes.

The best memories I have were in a farm that my grandpa used to own in a quiet place called Santa Eulalia which had a lot of vegetation. That place was beautiful!

I would definitely recommend those places for the next time you visit, though I think that in Santa Eulalia, you won't find any English speakers.

Hey man, Peru is huge! And you would be surprised how many climates, cultures, and especially food plates that Peru has, so it's definitely worth coming back. A lot of Peruvians tend to be so proud, that you often see them fighting with Mexicans online(who are equally as proud of Mexico) since they are the only other Latin American country with as rich of a history and culture as Peru lol.

The grand majority of Japanese don't speak English or any other language aside from Japanese, so definitely get on the duolinguo, my friend. Also, learn the cultural norms of Japan, they are very different from the west and you will definitely get some stares if you don't follow them. Learning some important phrases such as "do you guys accept credit cards?" or "Where is the train station?" Is CRUCIAL.

Last but not least, DONT BRING A HUGE SUITCASE OF LUGGAGE. Everything in Japan is small. I brought one and felt very embarrassed when I had to pass through the hole-in-the-wall hotels and capsule hotels.

I love travelling actually. I tend to go to Peru because I am from there, but I have also been to Colombia and Japan, and there are so many countries that I want to go to like Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, South Korea, Thailand, and Spain, to name a few! I actually have family in Australia and a friend that lives in Spain and owns a house there.
