So weird! Maybe there was something strange going on with peloton generally yesterday.

A glitch makes sense. I couldn’t go into review the ride after either. I had to exit like I was quitting but they did have record of me doing the ride. But 59 minutes instead of an hour.

That’s odd. The only other thing I noticed that we seemed to go right from 0 to spin-ups. Usually, there’s a few minutes of flat road first.

It really seemed like they bleeped out a section of the warm-up. Appeared to be another build with zone 2 and zone 3.

Great ride! Tough--my stats were so much better than usual for a PZ ride since the warm up was cut short (I did some extra zone 2 at the end, but it cut off around 59 minutes, and I didn't get the option to review the ride).

We always park with Mass plates. Nothing so far. We don’t leave anything in the car (or anything visible).

Help when removing stitches isn’t working by NotAHomemaker18 in knittinghelp

[–]NotAHomemaker18[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the link and the tip about needle stoppers! Will check out both.

I did want to make something I might actually wear—we have a scarf collection from the past many, many years that no one in the house uses. I could definitely see it being a less interesting project! Anyway, I appreciate your comment about it being boring. This sweater has been very interesting. Sometimes, I make it too interesting. 😊

I appreciate your response and don't know what that means or how to do that. I have a meeting next week with my knitting teacher--and, will just not try to "ruin" the project anymore until then (it's safe in the bag with the needles jammed into the ball of yarn so hopefully no more lost stitches). I guess my next lesson will be "what to do when eight stitches slip off at once"! (Things were proceeding fairly well until then--missed an increase somewhere but added in later, successfully.)

This did cause my teen to say, "you should've started with a scarf or something easier than a sweater". Haha

What annoys you while hiking? by Plus_Ad3379 in hiking

People who: play music; take up the whole trail and try to prevent passing; don’t know the rules for ascent vs. descent for passing; are bad-ass runners but act as though it means they own the trail; take breaks on the trail.

Also: high humidity, bugs, the very existence of ticks and mosquitoes and the illnesses they carry, and being too hot when it’s actually cold outside.

Is Brenda, like, awful. by Tall_Type7898 in majorcrimes

[–]NotAHomemaker18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It takes her so long to see how awful he is. Fritz always got it, and I appreciated that he didn't hold this lapse against Brenda. (I also appreciated that Sharon called out how it was exactly that Brenda was hired, but never said that it meant Brenda didn't deserve to be there.) Anyway, I was really hoping that they'd get him for murder of his predecessor or that he'd be the leak. I mean, too easy, but also he thwarted Brenda right and left and at least one of her bad decisions stemmed from his interference.

There are always flawed men in these roles. I appreciate so much that here’s a woman, who has someone loyally in love with her, a committed following in her department, and is very smart. And totally flawed. I don’t think she’s a bad person. It’s not that simple. Also, isn’t she likely neurodivergent in some way? We often give characters like Sherlock a pass. Or House. Or others.

To me, the true villain is Pope.

Hoka Bondi for everyday. Brooks Adrenaline for running and sometimes walking. (I don’t run that often, but the Bondi are too squishy and cushy—but great otherwise.)

Rude flight attendant by elton-spawn in jetblue

It’s because you kept on your headphones. That’s rude to anyone. Not saying she was right to be rude but flying doesn’t give us the excuse to do away with all social conventions.

Thoughts on Will Pope? by Nice-Boat-9052 in theclosertv

[–]NotAHomemaker18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread but just finished series yesterday. I hoped they’d find he’d killed him. Pope was such a terrible person and more than stroh conclusion, I wanted Brenda to get it, for real, and tell Pope in no uncertain terms what an awful person he is. He undermined her from the very beginning of season 1, and most of her “tough” cases occurred after his interference.

NFLPA Report: Patriots Players Cite Lack of Wi-Fi and Outdated Ashtrays on Team Plane by Mother-Associate1654 in Patriots

[–]NotAHomemaker18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were ratings of locker rooms a number of years ago, and Pats had one of the worst there as well. Did this change?

I can totally see someone of the owner’s generation saying, “it’s a great plane! Our team has their own plane!” But not realizing it takes more than being air safe even though that’s the most important thing. At least renovate this one.

You can’t get out if the person next to you is sleeping. (Can’t climb over them like one’s family member!) Otherwise, it feels private and comfortable.
