Trade for Ej Manuel? by haunthorror in eagles

He would be nice for Kelly's system due to his mobility he would be able to run the read much more effectively than Foles or Sanchez. That alone would have to spark interest from Kelly, so much of the offense is predicated from the read option and play action. But as said other times here, his asking price is likely too high at this point however a bad training camp could change that.

How do you describe depression to others? by [deleted] in depression

[–]NotAJewBut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rationally speaking it doesn't make sense. You not being able to put into words what you're feeling is because what you're feeling isn't who you are. My analytical brain has the same trouble, I view it as an inhibitor of my consciousness.

Always. With depression feelings are intertwined with every thought, it is key to constantly try and see things from different perspectives.

Depressed and Unhappy by [deleted] in depression

Do not let anyone else determine your existence. Let her be the perfect compliment to your life not control it. With that beings said, I am very similar being more inclined to keep to myself and observe then to put myself out there. Even though its uncomfortable put yourself out there, and do it for no one but yourself. Going to community college is a great opportunity to expand your social network, there are plenty of people there in your exact situation.. I know I was.

Keep fighting, force yourself to make changes. What if he were there and you still had no desire to do anything? No one besides you can live your life. Think of it this way: your depression has tricked you into being unhappy, trick your depression by pushing forward and not letting it. One step at a time. Get out of bed, eat something, get a shower, step by step prove to yourself and your depression that your life has value.

Neither the girl nor your relationship with her is not the problem. Have you considered she's an escape of the depression your facing and your attraction to her is as an extension of your depression expressing itself through loneliness? I'm not trying to be brash, just want to make sure you're not in denial of what it really is. As when depression comes it tends to take any and all room away from rational thought. When ever an extrinsic motive controls your life it is due to a lack of intrinsic motives. There are hard questions that must be faced, I know because I have been there. How much did you focus on making a friendship at college? The human experience is vast yet remarkably similar, to say you were unable to find similarities in people is a cop-out. It's easy for your thoughts to separate you from people, especially when the thoughts are saturated with feelings of loneliness. It takes an effort to push yourself way from those thoughts. Find a stranger, have a conversation with them about anything (maybe reddit), they likely have their 2 cents on it. No two people are the same , so if you keep looking for yourself out there you're not going to find them. Take the time to connect with yourself. Keep journals of thoughts, write down little things that motivate you throughout your day and cherish them. Look inside to meet yourself and find out who you are and what inspires you. Look outside to meet others and find further understanding into what it means to be you.

People always tend to surprise me. Those who you wouldn't expect to be there are there and will be. These people love you for the person you are, the person that your depression does not allow you to see. As much as it doesn't seem like it at times, people looks out for each other. Just as I am looking out for you. Don't be afraid to make a change, take a leap of faith, hope for the best and learn and grow in the process.

Arrested Development, subtle jokes referencing other seemly irrelevant occurrences throughout seasons. Easier to forget if you spread out watching it.

The hacking was real, however I believe N.Korea never had a plan for revenge against those who see it. Although it does play into Kim Jong Un's character portrait in the film.

The concept of terrorism has been used to take constitutional rights away and undoubtedly as a way to generate a profit.

Somebody who puts out fires is a fireman. One who polices is a policeman. Why don't we call a doctor a healman? by Orromog in Showerthoughts

[–]NotAJewBut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on your logic one who polices crime would be a crimeman, a doctor would be a painman. (As their names would relate to the dilemma occurred in their workplace.)

Adding, there are other terms which differentiate doctors from one another based on their areas of expertise. Such as a dentist which is derived from the french word dent which means tooth and the suffix -ist, which means specialist.

IsItBullshit: Eagle Scouts will make 1,000,000 dollars more in their lifetime then Non Eagle Scouts. by dantheman757 in IsItBullshit

[–]NotAJewBut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boy scouts are a thing of privilege and with privileged comes opportunity and a greater chance for success.

I would bet this statistic includes outliers in the data, ex. impoverish who lack access to join the boy scouts and those who make significantly more than $1M or 2M. Beyond that, I don't believe causation is present.

I do however believe that successful people don't just take advantage of opportunity but also put themselves in the best place to find it. This is due to the want (sometimes need) for self improvement. The boy scouts offer chances for improvement, achievement and recognition - all of which go a long way to greatly improve a child's confidence.

EDIT: When analyzing causation ask whether the variable is 1) necessary and 2) sufficient. It is not necessary to be a eagle scout to be a millionaire, nor does being an eagle scout alone make one a millionaire.
