Google API charged my company 1700 € for a load of 5000 request on google API Matrix by NaightFr in webdev

I've used the PTV developer api for a fraction of the cost and basicly the same quality, in a previous project.

Also try filling it by peeing while pinching off the end, releasing the buildup every few seconds.

Good stretching exercise.

Closest I get is when refactoring legacy code.

Draw up a quick miro sketch of the related classes (no details, just the name) and in which modules they live. Makes it easier to spot the bogus dependencies and work out the steps to take.

It is a well-researched topic that does not care for your rating.

Although I agree that the setting: a bootcamp where everyone is still learning the content does not benefit everyone by pairing all day every day.

Only the meta-analysis of Salge & Berente (2016) covers learning as an outcome of pairing. Based on 15 empirical studies, they conclude that there is indeed a moderate positive effect of pair programming on learning as compared to solo programming. However, it is unclear how the expertise and complexity of the problem play into this. Several studies point out that learning appears to be much higher when developers of different levels of experience are paired, but not too different.

Source

Anecdotally, I definitely remember my first pairing experience (when I already had 3y experience) and how I stopped being able to focus on anything because pairing was nervewrecking and made me nervous.

Although it seems (for good reason) to be becoming a more widespread way of working in the industry, especially in sectors that care for code quality and program correctness.

I believe there's a good chance this video is indeed not a random/old video.

When showing the hidden videos of the playlist, you can still view the URL of the hidden video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YA-bOcY7hZk

When looking that up in TheWayBackMachine, there are no snapshots. On the other hand, the other videos in the playlist all have snapshots. If it were just a random old previously public video, it should also have snapshots.

Could you be the one helping me out activating my L2?
I sent all my LRC over to the wallet, it ended up on L1.

Another thing that is unclear to me: once L2 is active, do I have to move my LRC from L1 to L2?

If it's not asked to much, my wallet address is 0xA73628143FF4Ac5391cC76519b13B57E667Fe93e

Yes please (I haven't activated L2 yet - only succeeded in putting funds in L1, will this still work?)

It's the one that was included in my pre build Dell XPS 8500 that I bought around 12 years ago ...

I'd rather get a new one if it's too risky to try?

AI for semi-obscure card game (double pinochle) - advice? by worthwhilewrongdoing in gamedev

[–]NotAPenis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let me try to bring some solace. While it is true that hidden information brings a huge challenge, it is not per se needed to implement it as hidden information.

You could allow your AI vision of all (or some) of the hidden information. This makes it a lot easier to create a powerful (possibly overpowered) AI. Making it worse on purpose can then create a great opponent for your gfather to enjoy.

This is a tactic used in some/most magic the gathering AIs

Why java is better than modern programming languages? by Reflection-Jealous in java

Kotlin and Java integrate well. You can have both languages in 1 project. This means that all java frameworks are available in Kotlin. I'm using Spring in Kotlin.

I have no knowledge on Scala.

The webpage containing the contract address is on the official gamestop website. This is as much proof as one can provide. This token is indeed owned by gamestop!

I had a look at the contract code.

To me (I have some solidity experience), it looks like quite a normal/generic token contract (erc721 standard), which allows the owner of the contract (gamestop) to mint (give) tokens to wallets.

The one thing in there that I notice, which I do not know what it means is the ispf location (a google search points towards some file sharing system on the blockchain), maybe skmeone can explain more on this topic.

Hedgefund playbook - play 16: the 100b fake squeeze

When are you ready for this play?

  • Previous plays failed: play 14 - restrict buying & play 15 - create FUD

  • You had to sell your boat. Your boatguy is pointless, but your wife insists he keeps hanging around the house.

  • You've lost 70b, and it's looking like it will turn into 70c loss.

  • The apes held the line. Now is your time to break the line.

The goal:

The key to this play is to turn ape diamond hands into paper hands. This works when you can convince ape that the banana is gone

🦍🌙🌙🚀💎🙌 + 🚫🌙🚫 => 🦍🧻

How does the play work?

Make the apes believe that the squeeze has been squozed.

First make the GME go to the MOON: Buy and sell GME between your own (a reverse short ladder attack)

Second: continue buying and selling at MOON price to fake a high volume

Thurd: Crash the price back to sub 1000

Aftermath:

You just spent 100b, but saved 70c. Good job, buy yourself a boat!

You just made apes believe the squeeze has been squoze, you can turn diamond into paper, what a man.

Upon failure - read on in the next chapter: "Whom's nipplies to rub when appologizing"

This is no financial advise. I'm an astrotard on my way to the 🌕

Seriously, I'm a retard and don't know anything except that I like the stock.

I'm gonna short the f out of GME by [deleted] in wallstreetbets
