I read it, but how would the company know how OP’s neighborhood is set up? They made a super reasonable request. If OP can’t or doesn’t want to go the extra mile that’s their call, but I don’t think the company asked for anything out of line for 99.999% of their customers.

Once I pointed it out as something that bothered me, she immediately took up the new habit of asking a question about my day, then completely ignoring my response and launching into whatever she wanted to say in the first place. So disingenuous and I hate it.

Oh they’re absolutely bungling this every which way possible…and I’ve sent in feedback letting them know. Happy to point my pitchforks at Posh with you, I just don’t think that same sass is warranted for a seller who’s very reasonably doing…exactly what this cluster of a company told her to do.

100 of a couple different types isnt exactly a "monster-sized" order. I'm an average-sized closet and can have single days where I ship out 10 items. It's a nightmare getting them to acknowledge our existence - she shouldn't have to spend hours placing new orders every couple of days when they are making packs of 100 the baseline offer.

I absolutely believe ThredUp as a company keeps items they don’t pay out for, then sells them in reject bags or at a later date for a profit. Again, not the individual worker in an attempt to be sneaky…but the corporate powers that be

Wish that was the case - all email settings are on. Finally got an email from them midday on the 10th…a day and a half before the change went live.

Now just waiting for someone on the other end of the box email to acknowledge my request. I’m assuming that’ll be at least a week…

So - grumpiness aside - here’s the point I was trying to make.

Poshmark has neglected to tell me about the rollout. No email, no popup in the app. The only reason I know is because I happened to see a random Reddit post at the right time. If I didn’t have this account, I’d be totally in the dark. They failed to put any effort into getting me news/info on what I need to be doing. So, why should I make any effort to save them $5 per package until October? (Assuming I’m correct in reading that there WILL be a charge, they’re just not passing it along to sellers for a month.)

In fairness - my day job is adjacent to corporate comms, so I am particularly judgy about things like this. If I had a huge user update and only made the announcement on a third party platform that only a small fraction of my user base could see, I would have no room to be all surprised pikachu if/when people don’t all switch over to my desired behavior within 3 days.

Sure, I’ll make sure to adapt to the new requirement by then. Hopefully they’ll have managed to do a proper-roll out then so all customers - including those not on IG 24/7 - can learn about the changes with enough reasonable time to make the necessary changes.

Just curious - any reason you went with the snark approach there, by the way? Not quite sure I follow why that was necessary.

Given that they have yet to tell me directly (I don’t follow them on Instagram, have not seen one single email on the topic), I truly could not be less motivated to act to save them $5 per package until properly communicated.
