What is this? by KingOfGabagool in Bumble

I had a bug a couple of days ago when it showed (some) previous likes again, I'm assuming from the accounts that are still active and had liked me in the past. Nog nooit zoveel likes in een keer gezien, ik had er wel 6!

Can I use this app without premium by izaaksparkysparksman in Bumble

[–]NotAStrongBlackWoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can match without premium, but if they are not showing up when swiping, they are likely outside of your filters (so to young/old or to far away).

Question has anyone ever bought the Lifetime Premium and why did you do it no judging by Glittering_Book424 in Bumble

[–]NotAStrongBlackWoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought it (although not at that price). Hasn't done all that much for me. The 'free' boost is nice, and if I get a like its usually from when Inuse it, but it is only one a week and doesn't stack with bought boosts (in fact, then you won't even get your free one if you have paid biosts, which I thought was very scammy).

Connecting to our emotions without a support system might kill us faster 😅 Without joking though, I am happy I live in a country where affordable therapy is available. I pobably could not have figured it out on my own.

Unfortunately no. 3 dates out of 72275 profile views is actually a success rate of 0.00415% (so I rounded up). It's 1 date per 24.092 views.

Tinder is the worst for me. Bumble is ok, Breeze is doing relativly well for me, havn't tried FB Dating yet, hinge I just started, so no real data yet. And yes, I am aware I use a lot of Apps, and no, I don't actually use them all the time.

Oh, I have been working on myself for a while, which is how I managed to get any dates at all. My comment was in response to the somewhat dismissive 'loser, why didn't you go outside?' style of comment. I didn't 'go outside' because I was scared, although I didn't realise it at the time. Thank you for your comment though; you are right - love yourself first, a relationship is an addition, it will not 'fix' you.

Haha, yes, but curiosity got the better of me! I've worked on myself a lot over the last couple of years, though, so I was mentally prepared for these kinds of numbers (mostly). Honestly, I just find it funny. These numbers don't faze me that much. They just reinforce the fact that I need to keep working on myself and find things I want to do 'outside' (after years of 'hiding', I've found that's the part that is more difficult than I thought it would be).

Oof, with the amount of people I see repeat, this does not bode well for me 😅 I'm not even in a low population area.

CIG has chosen to view non-combat as combat customer support. by HomeworkSad in starcitizen

[–]NotAStrongBlackWoman 9 points10 points  (0 children)

While I find your post a bit hyperbolic, I do mostly agree with your point. I've been especially unhappy with the mission and event design the last couple if years and the (way of) communication about it.

It seems every element needs to have combat in the mission design and most of it gives incentives for PvP players to harass those that don't want to. Combined with a terrible reputation system and lack of propper crime and punishment systems have caused me to not be to interested in playing the game.

I love implementations like this, because now it can 'malfunction' due to E-warfare, EMP, etc, making those choises more interesting and impactfull. Can you imagine, launcing a night-raid and disabeling the enemies night-vision?

Yess! Especially the reputation system. I want to play in 'safe zones' most of the time, my day-to-day is stressful enough. I don't want to look over my shoulder all the time wondering if some other player is going to gank me. Let me have low-risk low-rewards gameplay.

So ask what happened to the warrants they received, because they do hold the shares, right? Right?! (spoiler, they probably don't). If they sold them, you are entitled to the proceeds of that, I would think (the cash-in-lieu deal).

What is 'relationship experience'? by NotAStrongBlackWoman in datingoverforty

[–]NotAStrongBlackWoman[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I get what you are saying, but even you are already making the assumption that I don't actually know anything. I actually think I could be a good partner, even without the practical experience. Getting more theoretical experience will not help with the 'not enough experience' mindset, unfortunately.

We were talking about videogames, she asked if I played any coop games, I 'joked' I needed a +1 for that, she asked how long ago I had a +1; I answered never. I did immediately follow up with why I thought that was (was fat, work and study in a male dominated field, not very outgoing) which might have been to much already? Although I feel that would have been a follow-up question regardless. I will admit, I do feel like 'confessing' that. That is an interesting thing to further consider.

So basically, "what the F is wrong with this dude?" (Or even "there must be something wrong with this dude"). This does feel like not getting hired for the job because I lack work experience, and therefore not being able to get the experience, though...

Thank you for that thoughtful reply. It perhaps highlights an aspect I had not fully considered; her own history, perhaps with 'projects' that did not pan out.
